The room are not soundproof. The staff wakes you up at 8:00 am to change doorlocks.

Very clean and comfortable room, would definitely recommend.

Good place for the price. We didn’t expect too much so it was ok.

Old apartment building is your view

The hotel is ok if you just want a clean room to sleep in. The property is in desperate need of renewal. The furniture is old and the entire place, including the rooms smell. Our room looked out on an old, rundown apartment. It is close to downtown and has access to the boardwalk and has quick access to the highway.

We booked because they were offering continental breakfast but there was not any , front desk did not have much to say about it when asked her reply was ask in the morning. We booked two rooms but was not next to each . Will not recommend this place

Old country charm look!

Our room was quite spacious with 2 queen beds. It seemed clean enough. The staff were friendly snd helpful at the front desk. We enjoyed the free coffee that was available throughout the day. Parking was limited so we did have to park on the street one night. The immediate vicinity was a little rundown. The hotel was older and in need of some updating.

It is a little older hotel but very pleasant. It is well looked after. The only thing that was puzzling is that they have a free continental breakfast supposedly that we had to pay for.

This hotel was close to shopping but not in a desirable neighbourhood. The outside of the building was a bit rundown-looking. Inside, the hotel was nice. It had an old-fashioned charm about it. The room was updated, but the door stuck and there were a couple of chips out of the bathtub.

Good value. Good location for our intended activities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was a comfortable size, though the bathroom was very small. The hotel could use some updating.

The check in and check out were very simple and easy. The room was comfortable. The only thing I found disappointing was the temperature of the shower continually changed from hot to cold which made that experience unpleasant-the rest was very good including clean fresh linens and towels

Very seedy apartments across the street, but very upscale cafe across the street the other direction. Nice lake front walking path across the street and an ice cream stand. Grocery store right across the street also. Grab yourself some donair sauce

The room was OK for the night after traveling. It was not clean though. Sorry but there was someone dirty socks on the floor and pillow case had stains.

Excellent location very near downtown Halifax. Property is in great shape. The staff, especially Saurabh at the front desk is excellent. Will recommend to stay

Friendly staff, services overall was good.

Elevator area had some smell. I booked a room for four people and they only provide 1 tiny tube of shampoo and 1tiny tube of body wash in the bathroom. The view from our room was a very old, run down motel motel.

Garbage under the sink from the last guests or before? Huge Cheap thick pillows. Gym was "out of order" AC doesn't get very cold. Considering the Price the fact that they have no pool or breakfast included It's quite expensive. Not to mention their Picture for the property is of a pier and Lake? and thats not even close to their property. Looks like it used to be a nice place

Not a great experience. Convenient location to get to the ferry to Halifax but that was about it. Noce to have laundry but literally in the darkest corner of the hotel in the basement. This hotel was not completely renovated as stated, old time charm could have been lovely if done right but it wasn't. Our sink didn't drain, the shower was tepid and weak water pressure and the bathrokm fan sounded like it was about to explode. Staff not friendly and did not offer any recommendations or ask if we nedded anything; not great customer service skills. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Reasonable rate, comfortable and clean. Just what I needed.

Quiet place, for an inn it wasn’t horrible. It was a convenient location. Parking is not the best. Room doors are difficult to close but I’d say it’s did to maybe age of building?

The staff were lovely and there had obviously been a lot of attention put into decorating the place (cute vintage pieces!) and cleaning it, but it was really lipstick on a pig because the building is a shambles. The door to the room was falling off its hinges and had been "repaired" (ha!) by someone just slapping an extra hinge on there (which doesn't fix the fact that the door is misaligned in the frame and barely operates). The enamel in the tub was chipped and the metal beneath was rusting, and instead of proper repairs it just had a non-slip mat thrown on top to (poorly) hide the damage. The plastic switch plates on the outlets and light switches were yellowed and cracking, the toilet had a broken flush handle, the furniture had peeling finish, the paint was chipped (and looked to not have been repainted or repaired in any way for many, many years). There's no soundproofing, either, so I could tell that my door wasn't the only broken one (I could hear people stuggling with and slamming doors all night, which made it hard to sleep). And I could hear the conversations in the neighbouring room with perfect clarity, and hear them complaining about the state of their bathroom, whether I wanted to or not. It's really a shame because you can see that the neglect of many years has really damaged what used to be a nice property.

Although the staff is very helpful, This property is shabby. Keys cards didn't work.

Location is good but the property is getting very dated with several issues with the property such as noisy ac that really did not work, toilet kept runnning and key card to room constantly failed.

There was a very homey feeling and everyone was very friendly. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced.

Good location. Clean. Good matresses. Weak water pressure. Much better in general than expected. Good size room. Has elevator. Noisy with construction next door.

I've stayed here many times, but it seems to have gone downhill a bit over the past years. It is very clean and the bed is very comfortable so that's awesome. The area surrounding is not great. People wandering around were not well and I found it a bit intimidating when unloading my car (I travelled alone). My room had only one little lamp for the entire space making it very dark and dingy. I'm guessing some items had been stolen or damaged by prior guests. Maybe Igot an older room. I had booked a king but got two doubles. I'm not sure if i would stay again.

This hotel is very dated and run down. We expected more for the price paid. Rooms were not very clean and the bedding was stained. Not recommended.
