Excellent hotel! Clean with great staff. We had a suite facing the lake and had a wonderful view. Breakfast was included and was very good. Location was close to restaurants and walking along the waterfront was very much enjoyed. Took a bus to Aston’s and this town was very much enjoyed. Also took the lift up to Arcada for excellent views of the lake and mountains. Excellent hotel and would stay there again

The property was very family friendly with a pool, large indoor playroom and small playground. The breakfast buffet was included which was also convenient. The staff were very nice and helpful.

We absolutely loved this hotel. It's an easy pleasant walk along the lake from the station. The reception staff are multilingual and are very helpful. We chose a studio room with lake view. It was super comfortable with an amazing view of the lake. There are lots of restaurants in Locarno but we decided to include breakfast and evening meal at the time of booking. Breakfast is buffet style and offers a super range of excellent quality foods. Supper was waiter service; sometimes it's à la carte, other times an abridged menu. But regardless every dish was excellent! You will not be disappointed. The head waiter is marvellous and made each evening an enjoyable experience, he was pleased to explain the dishes to us and I noticed him doing so in several languages. His team are professional and friendly; they simply make you feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed. The garden setting for the restaurant is lovely with the lake visible through the trees and shrubs.
The hotel is spacious and kept immaculately clean. There is a pool, small but perfect for a cooling dip. We didn't use the gym. It was far too warm to use the roof terrace, the view up there is fabulous.
We flew in via Milan, transferred by bus to the central station and caught the train direct to Locarno. An Italian woman on our flight said Locarno is the most beautiful part of Majjiore. I can't compare but I think she may be right! If you go, we can definitely recommend the Arcadia Hotel.
Isola Brissago is a must see.

I had a great stay at this nice hotel, located on the shore of Lago Maggiore, just a short walk from the Old Town Locarno.

Great location with beautiful view. Front desk very slow. Too much noise from dogs and children. Why not put all couples on one floor, all couples with children together. Children running and creaming ruined my vacation

Really good hotel. Centrally located, close to the lake but very little noise at night - despite our stay coinciding with the annual film festival. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. Room was clean and well equipped.

The hotel is nice abd rooms clean. The only thing was that the bed is terrible. I read earlier some comments about their beds, but did not think it could be this bad. Did not have a good sleep in this hotel. I was still awake at 4am..
Safety box was not working and they did not come to fix it even tho they promised twice.

It was a nice hotel. Great breakfast! The photos led me to believe it was on the lake with a beach. It is not, it’s on the other side of a busy street from the lake. The beach is down the road. We discovered a great pool & beach facility that was enjoyable.

Perfectly located, well run hotel. The restaurant is very nice as well, although so many other good restaurants are available in the area. The morning and evening views of the lake from the balcony are fabulous.

Nice hotel, reasonably priced, at a very convenient location close to the center/old town, and right at the lago. Pool was great, though not too many sun beds. Breakfast was great but bit busy for us late birds.
Room was spacious and at least most of the rooms seemed to have a powerful AC. Our’s was a prior apartment room, and there still was a fridge in the “kitchen” which was very convenient.
Hotel restaurant is, besides breakfast, not the best one. There are tons of better alternatives in the vicinity. Price-wise the hotel’s bar was reasonable. It’s Switzerland after all.
Parking in the garage is a nightmare, a rather normal car barely fits on the elevator, luckily I don’t think they ever utilized the elevators. The secondary garage right at the casino is just few minutes walk, and costs the same with the hotel’s voucher. I recommend that.
Last but not least, the service was outstanding. Thanks to the crew for making our vacation so nice!

The check-in experience was very poor and lacked efficiency.
Otherwise, the staff was very friendly. Good location of the hotel. Rooms - good size. Breakfast - good choice of a buffet.
Dinner buffets - just OK.
Important note: this is a family hotel. Loads of kids around.
Dogs allowed and great walking areas in the direct neighboorhood.

The position of the hotel is excellent. The room was nice, the breakfast too. Garden area is nice but the pool for so many people is too small. It was forbidden to jump to the pool but people ignored this. So it was not possible to swim. During the breakfast many people smoked which should be forbidden. With a little bit wind one has the smoke in the front of the face.

Not a bad hotel but there is some place for improvement. What we really liked about are- good location, next to the lake and other nice areas in Ticino are well approachable- the bed is very comfortable- child friendly (cute playground, presents, child chairs etc)- the breakfast is very good and cutlery is greenThe negative experiences- loud traffic (we were next to a relatively busy road)- the hotel restaurant is not the best quality to say the last and not very big choice (basically pasta and that’s it). The staff does not speak English at all, you have to try Italian or German!- the shower in the bathroom is very small, old fashioned, and there is no bathtub!- the view from our balcony was not very inspiring (overlooking an ugly building)

Staff make all the difference in the hotel trade. We selected this hotel entirely on location, for a brief two night stay, and were pleasantly surprised. Staff were so knowledgeable and helpful, and the breakfast in particular was superb.
Struggling for an improvement, I would add heating to the freezing swimming pool, nothing more!

I had a bad experience checking in at the reception. I waited really long in the lobby to be checked in. After the long wait, another group of persons cut in line right in front of me. I'm pretty sure the reception saw it, and didn't say anything about it at all. (I was not sure about the reason, maybe I look like Asian, or maybe I didn't speak Italian.) Anyway I won't say the service of this hotel is friendly. I won't consider or recommend it, either.
