The hotel is excellent. The staff were amazing. They truly took care of us. The food was out of this world. The view looking at the lake was magical. Fantastic hotel.

4 night stay. View from lake view room fantastic. Bed comfortable. End tables had easy access to electric. Location walkable to everything. Breakfast excellent including eggs, cappuccino, mimosas etc. restaurant also great. Staff professional, friendly and helpful. A perfect stay.would rebook in a heartbeat .

We had a great experience at Barchetta Excelsior Hotel. The location was absolutely perfect. Room had an amazing view, great condition, very clean and the breakfast was great. Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. We will definitely come back.

Such a helpful staff for dinner reservations, taxis... AC yes!!! Wonderful breakfast and dinner-pasta with tomatoes!! Best location with lake view and on a square. Right near ferries. Couldn't be better.

Everyone was so helpful at the desk finding places to eat and things to do. The rooms were very clean and the house keeping was always working around the clock keeping the facility neat. Will definitely be back

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the ferry, many restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. We would definitely stay here again.

We arrived earlier than our check-in time and the reception staff were ever so kind, lovely and approachable- we were able to check in earlier than their standard check in time. View was amazing and room was spacious. They helped us get around and offered us advice on where to go and how to get there which was very helpful.

The room was beautiful and everyone was super friendly. The front desk even helped me book a transfer to the airport when my original transfer tried to change on me the night before I was planned to leave.

The entire staff was excellent and could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Maya at the front desk, and Michele Angelo and Lester in the bistro in particular were outstanding.

Friendly staff , just need to watch your final bill sometimes they make little mistakes and double charge you but once you find out they fix it .

Great location, had a balcony with view of the lake. Room was tidy although older furnishings, bathroom was very clean, shower had great heated water. Breakfast daily was good. Staff were attentive and provided an overall great experience. Price is reflective of location and service level.

We have really enjoyed our stay. Great staff and a lovely breakdast. The room had everyhing we needed. Just unfortante that we heard a bottle bank veing emptied at 6:15 on a Tuesday morning. We had a city view which is basically a wall. But given we didnt spend much time in the room (awake) it didn’t really matter.
Location wise, in Como, there isn’t anywhere better.

We enjoyed our stay and mostly the location and view. The rooms are a little dated and small but were fine. The staff treated us very well.

We couldnt eat breakfast because all the chairs were extremely dirty. We coil t find a clean one to sit on. They were discussing.
There was no one to help you. Guys were looking when we try to carry our luggage. The best part of this hotel is there was a short guy who helped our luggage for the first time. After him , all other guys were not helpfull or attentive to customers. We told them we could not find a clean chair , he was talking very bothered. He didnt care. He was upset.
Ladies in consieridge they all were very helpful.

Very good location for boats to other towns on lake.
Good breakfast included in our deal.
Staff were very pleasant.
Cons
Very expensive for a hotel that needs updating ; we were aware that the hotel was traditional in style but a modernisation of some aspects is needed.
Inefficient air con; very hot in room and we were told as the weather had been cool the setting had been changed to heating across all the rooms, so no individual option.
We had a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the side of
Mc Donalds, so it was quite noisy.....as we had the window open due to the Aircon issue .
Poor lighting in the room- side lights by the bed and 1 table lamp only .

Thoroughly enjoyable stay, fantastic location, friendly staff room with a balcony was great and the view was stunning Hotel was spotless, would definitely revisit. I missed a kettle in the room though, a cuppa on the balcony would have been nice
