Just a one night stay. We needed to be close to airport for early morning flight. We were pretty tired from all our traveling. What a pleasant surprise!!! Had a lovely little dinner and drinks at hotel bar. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lovely early morning breakfast and a shuttle to airport. Highly recommend!!!

We needed a hotel close to the Madrid airport as we were transiting from Palermo to the US. The check in clerk was very nice and we were able to make a reservation for the airport shuttle for the next morning. Note that although the airport is close, you need to allow at least 1/2 hour from the hotel to the airport and probably at least 3 hours at the MAD airport before boarding as the security lines and passport check lines were very long. We only allowed 2 hours and barely made our flight. The hotel room was ok but had a bit of a musty smell and the furnishings are a bit tired. The AC control also did not work well and we could not get the temperature to adjust cooler. We arrived late so did not ask for it to be fixed or move rooms. The breakfast has a nice looking spread but most of the foods were pretty tasteless. The hotel is fine if you need a one night stop over, but would not recommend for longer. Plus, the configuration of the shuttle bus was a bit hard to navigate to load on luggage and get off but the bus driver was very nice and helpful.

Was an excellent stay

Website advertising early check was not helpful nor accurate. I invested a significant amount of time to try and register through the Melia website. There was clearly no benefit. In fact, the experience at Melia Barajas was disappointing - pick-up took longer than expected (language issues with guests), and competing with other guests at a very late hour. Then, when I asked for return to the airport, the front desk said I would have to take a taxi, since the reservation slots were already filled for my preferred time. The whole point of staying at the Melia Barajas was the proximity and free shuttle to the airport!

It was a great experience, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. We also appreciated the punctual ride to the airport. The breakfast buffet was ok.

I was visting Madrid for El Classico with my two kids at father-in-law. Wanted somewhere near the airport as it was a 23 hour visit. Hotel was nice and a special mention for Alex who checked us in at reception and really looked after us. Personal and professional.

Solid airport hotel. Does the job. Nothing spectacular but friendly staff and handy shuttle

Convenient to airport with complimentary shuttle service. Excellent breakfast buffet. Metro stop was a 10 minute walk that we used to go to Madrid for our last evening in Madrid.

Good hotel but expensive for its range

Stayed here for one night before an early flight. The first room we were given had someone smoking in it before us. The cleaners had tried to mask the stench with something that smelled like petrol which made the room unbearable. We were given a different room, but the first one should have NEVER been rented. The second room, and the hotel in general, are very tired and dated. The TV was mediocre with bad sound and the beds squeaked with the slightest movement. On the plus side, the rooms are large and the showers decent. The restaurant is just okay and I wouldn't recommend getting anything more complex than a sandwich. We ordered the paella, which was a mistake. All in all, the hotel is a disappointment and absolutely not worth the 200+ euro a night that they charge.

Great place to stop over in Madrid, super close to the airport, friendly and professional staff and a GREAT buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel, rooms are spacious, comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast is amazing. Located in a nice neighbourhood, with some good restaurants and a supermarket. The hotel restaurant is also very good.

Bathroom washbasin was clogged, water did not drained easily and took long time to drain.

Nice, but outdated inside.

We stayed 2 nights and we forgot our adaptor in our room. When we came back no more did not recover. And the buffet breakfast my friend got one apple before we go and they took it from her. Huwow! Just an Apple.

Everything was good, with they excepción of the wifi connection. The signal was kind of weak.

I would have scored it a bit higher but what really shocked me and something that has never happened before was when my mattress actually injured me. Yes you read that correctly. The mattress had a sharp spring sticking out the side that jabbed my leg getting out of bed.

Very attractive and comfortable. Excellent selection for breakfast. Convenient to airport & metro.

We stayed 2 nights we didn’t able to sleep too much noise next door to our room. I even called the receptionist to report them it gotten worse. The shuttle pick up very bad. We waited 1 hr and after that we didn’t able to go because he said it was full already. We end up getting taxi very expensive.

Me and my little family had an overnight connection, this hotel was perfect with shuttle from and to the hotel, it makes it really convenient. This hotel is super quiet even though is close to the airport you barely hear the planes landing or taking off. I paid for breakfast it was worth every penny, good selection and variety.
