The montrose was amazing! Loved the convenience to everything and how quiet it was. Also the staff was so helpful and polite. The valet was great and victor up front was so pleasant with a lot of recommendations for us.

The place is ok. The room is useful with a seating area. It was smelly, like dog scent.

Boutique feel. Hector was amazing from helping with car and luggage to relaying messages to other staff. Nothing but good things to say about the staff, the room, the property. Will definitely book another stay.

Having an suite room with kids was great. It was my son's birthday when we visited and Austin and Erin arranged a plate of freshly baked cookies to be delivered and some fizz for me as a treat. Austin, Erin and Hector were especially fantastic but everyone at the hotel was great. Thanks for a great stay.

First of all, I would like to say that this hotel is amazing and very centrally located. We stayed in a Deluxe King Suite (room 500) which came with our own little private balcony. At night we would sit on the balxomy and have dinner overlooking the views of the city. How spectacular is that as this is what dreams are made of!!! We were also celebrating two birthdays and we got a wonderful bottle of bubbly as well as a wonderful tray of fruit. Thank you for making both birthdays 🎂 very special it was very much appreciated!!! I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is in a very safe neighborhood not to mention it is centrally located. If i could rate this hotel ten stars i would.

This place was beyond perfect. I never thought a hotel would exceed my expectations that much but this one sure did.

Clean, with comfoartable bed, pillows, warm shower with good pressure (same for faucets), small kitchenette but functional, and AC, the room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Staff were consistently polite, cheerful, and responsive. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The service attitude was terrible. The neighbors had a party at night, and it was very noisy. There was no room service provided during the day unless I need to request ahead. When we checked out, they charged us many extra fees, like City Worker Protection Fee, urban Ameritiles Fee.....

I stayed here while recovering from surgery. The room was large with a balcony and kitchenette so it felt more like an apt rather than one room hotel. The staff were very responsive and friendly. The location was great and walkable. I would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel in a quiet street close to Sunset Blvd. Spacious rooms with nice view. Loved the rooftop pool. Public Parking 5 mins walk away if the 65$ valet parking isnt your thing.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Montrose! I was upgraded which was a nice treat and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s too bad the restaurant is closed right now, but the food itself as room service was delicious. The pool is cute and it’s especially nice in the afternoon when the bar is open and the music is playing. A great place to stay!

Hotel is okay. Rooms are okay. The pool is very small. Location is not walkable to any good breakfast restaurant.

Front desk doesn't provide great customer service

So this is our second stay at The Montrose. My husband wanted to go back because he’d enjoyed it the first time, so I said I’d try again. A few things: there is no info on where the restaurant is. We went to the rooftop walking around trying to find it before finally realizing it was Tone on the first floor. Expensive bad Oatmeal (oat soup?) isn’t great. Neither is (hotels.com redacted price) apiece for bacon. Ripoff. The parking is (hotels.com redacted price)/night. Another ripoff. The room we were in was on an incline that made it higher on one end then angled down to the door. Fix your foundation. The toilet paper roll holder is in a spot where you can’t actually put a roll on. These are all minor issues, but annoying nonetheless. Which brings us to our final night: On Saturday night, there was what sounded like a party going on in the hall on the first floor. We were on the first floor and while trying to sleep, people were outside laughing and talking at the top of their lungs. As partying is not allowed, it’s not clear why no staff came by to tell them to shut the heck up. Oh, and then we paid (amount redacted by hotels.com) a day for an amenities fee? Like what is that even? It wasn’t explained anywhere. So I guess that means using the shower, internet, electricity and bedding is all extra? Total scam. I’d really like an answer as to what we were paying for. At just under (hotels.com redacted the amount we paid) total for 2 nights, I can’t recommend this spot at all.
