THE ATHENS GATE HOTEL WAS THE MOST AMAZING PLACE TO STAY IN ATHENS! IT WAS CONVENIENT TO THE PLAKA FOR SHOPPING AND TO THE ACROPOLIS AS WELL AS THE MEETING PLACES FOR TOURS WHICH WE HAD BOOKED. THE RESTAURANT ON THE ROOFTOP WAS NOT ONLY DELICIOUS FOR BREAKFAST AND DINNER BUT THE VIEW OF THE ACROPOLIS AND THE PARTHENON WAS AMAZING BOTH DURING THE DAY AND ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT.
THE STAFF WAS VERY ACCOMODATING WITH DIRECTIONS AND WITH SECURING A VAN FOR ALL OF OUR LUGGAGE TO TAKE US TO THE AIRPORT AT THE COCCLUSION OF OUR STAY. WE WILL CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THE ATHENS GATE HOTEL TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS!

We enjoyed a two-night stay in a balcony room overlooking the Acropolis. This was a knock-out view from a very large balcony. The room was excellent in all ways, and the breakfast was diverse and very good. Excellent location for walking to many main attractions. Highly recommend!!

It was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable . We had breakfast and dinner at the rooftop restaurant and it was great. The view from the restaurant was beautiful, day and night. The Acropolis was so close. Plus, it’s located only a couple of blocks away from the historic Plaka district. So nice to just take a short walk to that amazing area with all the restaurants and stores.

My room was on floor 1, too close to the noisy street. The breakfast food was deficient and not good; they can improve here. The view from the top floor is spectacular, the best of the hotel. Location is perfect, right in front of an ancient park and Adrian’s gate. I would stay there again, but in a higher floor room. The front desk people were very friendly and informative.

This was a great hotel. Service was fast. I asked for extra towels and the towels were there in less than two minutes. It was clean and the views were amazing. Walking distance to the Acropolis was a plus. The double decker busses stop very close as well if you want to ride those. Food was great.

The staff was super nice. The location was very convenient to the acropolis. The rooms were very nice. Note that the rooms have views of the temple of Zeus not the acropolis. The upstairs restaurant has views of the acropolis. We had to leave before breakfast so they provided a nice breakfast to go which was very nice.

Lovely stay. Beautiful hotel and amazing view. Don’t forget to dine at their roof top restaurant to enjoy that 360 degree view of Athens.

We had an amazing stay! We will always return to Athens Gate when visiting Athens. The location is perfect. Walk to the Acropolis, the museum, Plaka and other attractions. The rooftop restaurant was good and had a wonderful view of the Acropolis. There are also tons of wonderful restaurants in the neighborhood. The room was clean and comfortable and our balcony had a view of the Temple of Zeus. The staff is friendly and we had a terrific stay!

Centrally located! Across the Temple of Zeus, a quick walk to Hadrian’s Gate… and a reasonable walk to the Acropolis, Monasteraki Square, the Agora and Parliament. Stunning views of the Acropolis from the hotel rooftop restaurant.

We had a very pleasant 2-night stay here. The room was clean and comfortable with a balcony and view of the Temple of Zeus. The rooftop garden bar and restaurant were had wonderful views, fantastic drinks and great food. The included buffet breakfast was very nice as well.

We stayed at Athens Gate Hotel for 3 nights.
Arrived late in the evening and the staff were very nice and welcoming. Our room was good, the only thing that we didn’t like was that it was close to the elevators and you can hear the noise from the hallway. Breakfast was included in our package and it was not all that.
Not worth it in my opinion. Location of the hotel is absolutely amazing. So close to Praka and ample shops and restaurants. Overall GREAT hotel, amazing staff and service will definitely co

An excellent option if you want to visit Athens. Close to the Acropolis, its Museum and Plaka. The front rooms have a view on the Zeus Temple. Breakfast is at the rooftop, with a view at the Acropolis. Good value for money.
