We were all inclusive and had to eat out every meal. The food was dreadful. The restaurant was drab and dreary. Resembles a school canteen. Entertainment was more for families than couples. This holiday ended us costing us a lot of money. One bar opened and you had to queue for ages. One of the worst all inclusive hotels I have stayed in.

We were very well taken care at Sol Lanzarote, the rooms were amazing, with a great view, the staff was incredible (especially in the dining room). The only downside is the excessive noise: most of the people want to relax but have to listen to loud techno on the pool due to some fitness activity for 3 people. Also, why do we have to have breakfast with loud music outside? Considering the target audience (families and older people), I can´t think of anyone who is happy to start the morning with loud techno.

- Excellent location, right by a lovely beach - Good size rooms - Fun activities for the kids (at the pool, and kids party in the evening) and shows for the grown-ups (magic, music,...) - Beautiful pools, but water is a bit cold - Nice choice of food at the restaurant and the bars - Super friendly staff

Great place, that good i think well book again next year. Food was excellent, right on the beach and plenty for the kids to do, spacious room.

Pros: Great Location for an easy trip. Lovely, helpful staff and a great selection of food always available. Drinks were good for an all-inclusive. Most other things great for the price, really would go back again. Cons(small things): Coffee could do with an actual bean grinder rather than powder, to go above and beyond. Never been charged to use the safe in a hotel before, bear in mind. Also deposit for towels, bit odd. Overall a great stay and would really recommend.

Stayed at the Sol 2 years ago & we couldnt fault anything, however this year i did not think the rooms were cleaned properly the sheets were never changed & the floor was only cleaned once in seven days we had to wear slippers or shoes because the floor felt so dirty apart from the room everything else was great, we had a fab holiday & would definitely return if the rooms were cleaned properly.

Unfortunately there was noisy building wirk that we was told about. Hotels.com were not interested when i raised this issue with them.

Great 4 night stay. Beds not the best. Room was clean. All-inclusive food was average but plenty of choice. Pool area was great but beware the towels start going on sunbeds early and the usual nonsense of not seeing anybody on them until gone dinner somtimes

Nice resort with an amazing staff.. We had just a lovely stay, 3 big pools plus one small for infant,which was perfect for us. The hotel is right on front of the beach and the old town is only few min away by taxi (for a 6€ ride) there is also a small area, 3min walking distance, with pubs and some shops. The only bad things I can say about the hotel are: the alcholic drinks are horrible, very cheap quality (but you can pay and get the good stuff), the food is ok nothing great, but everything is made up thanks to all the amazing stuff always willing to help and make your stay as much comfortable as possible. Special thanks to Rene at the buffet, Alberto at the bar and Aleks the housekeeper. Overall a very nice holidays

The food was absolutely wonderful as usual.....one of the reasons we keep returning to this hotel, the new arrangements for serving yourselves drinks is a very good idea and has removed the queues that used to happen in the evening. The staff are absolutely brilliant especially the way the relate to the children, especially the dining room staff,they are always smiling and work at amazing speed. the kitchen staff are really efficient and at no time did any of of the food items run out...well done

Lovely relaxed hotel in a great location. Food quality was mostly good, but variable - would benefit from less variety perhaps, so they could focus on the dishes provided. Also vegetarian food wasn’t labelled, so hidden meat kept turning up. If they invested in heating for one of the big pools it would make a huge difference. Would definitely visit again!

Having access to the cappuccino machine throughout the day was wonderful. Access to the beach walking/biking path, close proximity to the airport, and sunny skies every day were also blessings.

fantastic room and fantastic location

Great hotel, stopped here before and would again, the all inclusive is now local spirits and drinks and cocktails, water bottles have been stopped to cut on waste, so bring a bottle to refill. The staff are lovely, fani on the bar is a bit miserable but 99 percent lovely. The hotel is clean and have great facilities and its in the quiet end of puerto del carmen in Matagorda only 5 mins in a taxis from airport.

Location was close to the airport. Food was good. Paid extra for a Seaview. See attached photo. Mentioned this at check out. Was told some people class that as a good view. quite a disappointing response. Not worth the extra money I paid. Most of the dining furniture in the restaurant was plastic garden furniture. Table and chairs in the room were also plastic garden furniture. Staff were good and polite.

Lovely pool areas and easy access to beach and promenade . Only 1 restaurant , food good and great choice but very noisy and canteen like - would have preferred other , quieter more relaxing dining options .

Friendly, nice food and lovely views. Hotel is great for families. I went with my girlfriend and loved it but night times were spent exploring the local area and bars as the hotel entertainment is based at kids.

We booked in at the last moment for 5 nights all-inclusive, and had a great time. The food on offer was simply excellent, both in terms of quality and choice, and there was never a shortage of taste experiences on offer. There's plenty for kids to do, and the evening shows were entertaining. The most obvious drawback was the absolutely appalling coffee - it was literally undrinkable, and the lack of tea/coffee-making facilities in the room meant we couldn't even make our own (note for next time: take a travel kettle). In addition, there's no food available after 10pm and even a basic cup of tea can be hard to get hold of at times.

The hotel check-in process and reception staff were excellent and always willing to help with any query. Cleaning of room was good and to say the food was buffet style the standard was good, once you had worked out the location of everything. Simple, hassle free stay and the beach is just across a cycle path outside the hotel through a secure gate. Location was near to some bars and restaurants if you fancy a change of scene and a short and cheap taxi ride in to Pt del Carmen.

Sol Lanzarote is a nice hotel with a marvellous location, with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good but certain things like the vanilla ice cream were not enough and most of the time when our daughter wanted a vanilla ice cream as a desert she couldnt have it, the restaurant should be bigger because sometimes at dinner time we had to queue to enter the restaurant and that was not very good; and in the bathroom should be more hooks, we didn't have enough hooks where to hang our towels. But in general it was a good hotel, very windy so always take a cardigan with you even in spring because it can be quite uncomfortable.

before our holiday we knew that this hotel appeared smaller than some of the all-inc holidays we've had in the past so we were prepared for some limitations from the Sol Lanzarote and so it was amazingly surprising that this hotel delivered on all levels. good food, great all-inc options, lovely staff and a cracking location right on the beach.

It was a great family holiday. My daughters, 10 and 7 years old, loved the hotel. A good hotel, close to the airport and the beach. A lovely walk between the hotel and the sea, no traffic, just walk or cycle. No need to pre book a taxi/ shuttle. Taxis outside the airport will take you to the hotel in 10 Euros. Lots of deck chairs and 3 functioning swimming pools, so not overcrowded. However, we went in February, so the weather wasn't exactly perfect for swimming. The pools were not heated, so too cold for swimming most of the time. Rooms were good size for 4 people, breathtaking ocean view. There is a sliding door between the two twin beds, so kids and parents have their own areas. Bathrooms were cleaned daily and beds made daily. New towels everyday but bed linen was not changed throughout our stay. Plenty of food at meal times (we went all inclusive). The food was spread over a large area so no crowding and pushing at meal times. However, not the best options for vegetarians. There wasn't just very little vegetarian options, but the food was not marked well enough. Quite often the food was not named at all, or it did not mention veg/ non veg or whether it contained pork/ beef/ fish/ vegetables. My safest bet would be french fries most meal times. The staff around usually weren't very sure of the contents either. I had 2 spoonfuls of 'chick pea stew' (sounded vegetarian) before I came across bits of meat floating in my third spoon. The entertainment was good, kids enjoyed.

Evening entertainment not great, not enough table and chairs in the entertainment area and could do with more staff behind the bar as long ques of people waiting to be served. In the summer months there will not be enough sunbeds round the pool and there is a daily cost for sunbeds on the beach. Staff are pleasant.

Very nice hotel just in front of the beach room were very big

A really nice clean hotel, the downside being that the bar closes at 11:30 and clients cannot get any drink after this time and that includes tea,coffee, water. Also it was advertised as having a minibar in the room. It doesn't but there is a mini drinks fridge that you can make use of. There is a safe in the room although there is an extra charge for the use. A little strange in this day and age. The wifi is free but it is awfully slow and I mean slow. On the whole it's still a lovely hotel and the staff are great but I'd have to rate it as being a good 3 star and not a 4 star.

Beautiful hotel, great location and brilliant selection of local shops bars and restaurants!

We got to this "all inclusive hotel' to find out that it wasn't all inclusive and to get an all inclusive package it costs an extra 38 euros per person a night. Once this is paid it still doesn't include everything. This name of the hotel is very deceiving. The management were unwilling to speak to us about our complaints. The food was pretty awful and they kept on circulating the same food over and over. I wouldn't go back to this hotel or recommend it to anyone. No care is put into this place. It needs new management. There are much better choices in Lanzarote.
