Good place to stay overnight before early flight.

Was a £25 taxi either way from Stansted but though wasn’t best I’ve stayed in the lovely lady on reception made my stay good.

Friendly welcome , comfy bed , basic one night stay . Would definitely used again

Basic hotel, suitable for a one night stay, in need of updating, could do with at least a fan in room.

Location great and welcome friendly but room had broken furniture and housekeeping had missed rubbish left in a cupboard- see photo. Light switches/wiring didn’t seem to switch on (or off) the expected light. Really odd and worrying!

It was fine. Good ambience. Staff wasn’t friendly but then again I checked in at midnight so I can imagine it was a bit of a hassle. Then I open the bathroom and shower head was gunky and didn’t even have water coming out of the shower. Would have given a 5 except it was hard to take a bath

The lobby looks like it's had most of the money thrown at it whilst the food menu is expensive it's far cheaper to order from Domino's down the road in bishop's Stortford.

The whole property is encased in scaffolding and the outside is obviously being totally refurbished. The inside definitely needs refurbishing- everything is tired. Thank god we arrived late and only stayed one night. In our bathroom the toilet roll holder had fallen off and been removed leaving the bracket. Had a double sink - one had the pop up waste stuck closed and the tap had the nozzle missing so when you turned it on it sprayed all over the floor. The glass shelves were hanging off and a few missing. At £84 plus £6 parking for a family room for 3 it was a rip off. Give it a miss.

Basic hotel, no frills. Clean enough, bar was closing down when I arrived at 9.30, but no real ale available anyway so settled for tea in my room. The room was ok, but thats all. It was, however, absolutely freezing cold in there. I was unable to adjust the radiator.

We arrived very late in the night, just after 3am. There was no one on the desk for 20 minutes, despite calling twice. I was not impressed and to add insult to injury, there was no apology either when the receptionist did arrive. It is advertised that the hotel is open 24/7. Other than that, the stay was fine.

Old and run down but the staff was amazing and the breakfast was delicious

Good value for money for an early morning flight from Stansted. Good evening meal.

No cell service inside the building

Room smelt of cigarette smoke. Building work was going on outside which was not Mentioned when booked. Noisy until 6pm. Room was clean but very dated.

Was told we would get wifi and soundproof rooms. Couldn’t connect the TV to the wifi, spoke to the manager who tried the wifi from outside the door and said it worked so the TV just doesn’t have it. Next morning, cleaners just let themselves into our room whilst we’re still there saying “check out is 11” when my email clearly says 11:30 (this happened at 11:10). Luckily I was standing by the door to be able to half shut it and not allow her in! Beds are so uncomfortable too, I could feel the springs in my back and I could hear everything going on in the room upstairs so definitely not soundproof

Lots of building work being done. Hotel helped out and airport transfers were a lot cheaper with them. Room was cold and with other coming and going they made a lot of noise and the lights going on and off in the corridor did wake you. Not much they can do about that

Decent room for one night in between flights. Comfortable bed and big tub. Some areas in need on non-essential repairs

Ideal for an early departure ,lady on reception was so welcoming and friendly.

Currently undergoing renovation, hopefully this will bring it to the 2020 from the 1980's, the full place needs an upgrade. Very basic breakfast on offer.

Transfer to the airport for early morning flight was included in the cost of the parking. Also parking was cheaper than any other options available. Family room a good size!

Bait and Switch hotel - stay faaaar away

cheap prices and good service. Nothing fancy but was kinda Cozy. Abit noisy because of alot of Trafic and Contructioning at the time i was there 7/8.

It needs upgrading, but it was good for the stay before the early flight. Very close to the airport.

Good checkin service

Not great. Costs 25 pounds to taxi from the airport, even though it’s 5 minutes away. Room was clean and nice enough, but there were bugs attracted to the lights and I spent more time than I wanted dealing with those.

Practical cenral position and vicinity of most attractions, agreeable modern hotel design but electronically overdone

Very run down. Sink in bathroom was blocked. The mattress on the bed was awful and needed replacing. We were told they were housing homeless people in the hotel.

Great value for money. Staff efficient and helpful. Because of the ongoing renovations the car park was a bit dusty but a great value-for-money stay. Thank you
