Best place in isla

This property is very well kept, the staff all around is great and very helpful. I had a group of 30 people that went to the Island. My parents were not able to go up the stairs in the AIRBNB we rented. I booked Posada Del Mar the day we got in. They gave us a 3rd floor room, I was able to speak to them at the hotel and they were able to accommodate my parents on the first floor. I have stayed here once before. The pool is good and the location is perfect to explore the island. Its on the main street right where the ferry is at. Its less than a 5 minute walk. The main shopping and restaurants are 1 block away, safe enough to go walking at night. The best part the beach in front and if you want you can walk all the way to playa norte from the beach or 2 blocks east will get you there too. Perfect location. Parking is good and there are plenty of places to eat and drink this Hotel also has 2 restaurants. Convenient stores within 1 block. Can't say enough for the price.

Great place

I stay here every time I come to Isla. You can’t beat the location. The only negative I would say is there is never enough hot water for showers, just a minor inconvenience.

Not a fancy place, but very convenient and right next to the beach. Easy walk from ultramar

I was pleasantly surprised. I was always curious about this place. And until my recent stay I had never been to the beach across the street from the hotel. It was clean, quite (at least where I stayed in the hotel). It was in a great location to almost everything you'd need for a good vacation. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is old and dated. The location is really good though. If you are only looking for a place to lay your head then this is a good spot. If youre wanting luxuries, definitely not here. Pieces of ceiling were falling off and there was mold on bathroom ceiling and wall

Staff were very friendly and attentive - we were upgraded because the hotel oversold our discount room!

Location! Love that the beach is across the street. They also give you a ticket to get the chairs and umbrellas for $300 pesos. The staff of friendly and helpful. On to the not so good. Our first room, the toilet didn't work. Second room the shower leaked into the bathroom. They couldn't fix it so they put several towels on the floor. Only changed them once in 4 days. Even after we asked 3 times to get them charged.

Loved staying at posada Del Mar. The location was perfect. The room was big. The air conditioner was cold. The staff was friendly. I will definitely be visiting again.

Property is aged but in reasonable condition, the rooms a big and spacious. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Just spent nine days with these people and my husband got his phone stolen and we had two beach towels stolen. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. For 9 days our family felt uncomfortable by the staff. Now i’m out money on phone and we couldn’t just leave because we didn’t have anywhere else to go. So literally stuck uncomfortable at this hotel.

I enjoyed my stay. It is dated but nice. Staff friendly, pool was dirty and not working right.

For the price, this place is GREAT! If you’re looking for an equivalent of staying at the Ritz, this isn’t your place but if you’re looking for a very clean, friendly, everything your need I highly recommend. We’ve stayed at a couple of all inclusive on the island but decided to “venture out” to try a different experience because we ate and drank at all the fun places so this was perfect!

Dirty and def a motel 6 style hotel very danky and cheap, would not recommend with family more like friends who don’t care if they sleep with roaches. Food at the restaurant was disgusting and expensive!

Nice pool and Romy’s bar is always a great place to relax. We love Romy and he makes an amazing RomyRita!!

Decent property & very walkable to main attractions.

Great location, across the street from Playa Centro. Nice pool/loungers. Staff was friendly. About the only critique is that the water in the shower was lukewarm.

I have stayed here more than 10 times over the last 40 years. Beautiful view and great staff. Perfectly located in Isla for the waterfront, beach and restaurants and marinas.

We love staying here. They are always friendly and the location is perfect.

Stayed the last 2 days of vacation. Was disappointing. Room was dingy and smelled very musty. Fridge didn’t work…Shower curtains were moldy. Patio was tiny and in behind the bar. We have always been curious about this place and are glad we were only there for 2 days. Pool is nice enough and new bathrooms by the poolside are new…food was excellent and staff very friendly
