Connor and Ellie on reception were both very friendly and polite also the young bartender was very polite and friendly too.

Very warm welcome from the reception team, really lovely room with a great view! I really liked the fact we could park without breaking the bank like pretty much every other Brighton Hotel, would recommend using the X1 bus into the City to save your feet but it’s easily walkable along the seafront if you want to get those steps in!

Great Location and breakfast overlooking the marina was wonderful

Hotel was really nice. reception friendly. Room, whilst compact, made up for it with the balcony / patio area with views over the Marina.

The hotel is far smaller that we expected and a few mins walk from the multi storey car park. Reception was staffed by a nice guy, good service etc. the rooms however are really small and not what I would expect for £200 a night. Overall disappointing and wouldn’t stay again.

Twrrible. Worst hotel I've experienced for years. People in next rooms were partying all night and were v.loud. walls like paper. Car park a long outdoor/exposed walk in heavy rain. I will never stay at a Malmaison again.

Staff went above & beyond to help. We had booked Club Deluxe Seaview with Balcony & were given a room on second floor. It was light & airy but it didnt have a private balcony like we had thought - instead it was a terrace that was segmented per room but not very private. We queried this and were offered a room on the 3rd floor. This was much darker and felt smaller. Note - the balcony is only half width & very tiny. We actually preferred the second floor room as it was much brighter. On the second night our tv stopped working but the General Manager Paul was brilliant and did all he could to help. The issue was resolved the following day & we received complimentary drinks. Overall,we had a really nice stay & would recommend the hotel.

Our room had a smell when we entered like a stale dirty cloth had been used, also I had to ask for our table on the terrace to be cleaned.

The hotel is situated a few minutes by car to Brighton and is in a great quiet location in the marina. First class rooms and exceptional staff makes it our go to place anytime we will go to Brighton.

I'll start with the bad stuff , found blood spots on the mattres , bathroom inner door handle about to come off/loose , at night you can hear the next door tv or a sneeze, barrely any space to store your clothes and i was there for 3 nights only . Good stuff , your in the Marina and theres a nice view once your outside , plenty of stuff to do around if its good wether , easy to park , easy to get the bus, close cinema and McDonalds and plenty of shops . Unsure if ill go back to Brighton but if i go ill defenetly look at a diffrent place to stay in.

Modern hotel right by the Marina. Restaurant with balcony to enjoy a drink in the sunshine while watching boats and or people.

Decent hotel but not as good as Hotel Du Vin.

The malmaison was in a great position for the marina and benefoted from free parking too. The rooms and corridors were clean and check in was easy, breakfast was delicious!

Nice view of the marina. Rooms good but a bit small for the class. The surrounding area is a bit tired and slightly depressing. Almost all pizza and pasta chain restaurants and a number closed down or empty.

The property is suffering from being understaffed with very low standard of cleanliness. Quality of service was of a low standard due to staff frustration. Check in was appalling. Communication was appalling. Food was appalling. We would never stay again. Bathroom door did not close properly. Shower drain was blocked and therefore shower flooded. Litter in room on arrival. Toilet was dirty. Advertised with private parking but actually it's a multi storey public carpark with height restriction. A very unpleasant experience. Definitely not worth the money.

Excellent location and service spoiled by broken Air-Conditioning in our room. 25 degrees out so the room was stifling. A fan was put in the room but that just moves the hot air around so doesn't cure the problem. Otherwise our trip was faultless.

Nice hotel and staff but it’s just too far from anything (unless you just want to be near the marina): apart from the hotel there’s only the same chain restaurants and a Wetherspoons you can get in any town centre.

A seaside hotel, surrendered by bar & F& B, a mega supermarket nearby. Everything is above average.

Great location, however the air conditioning really made the stay uncomfortable at times. The service was excellent especially when I had a lost item the team really supported me getting my item back.

I stay in hotel every week and this hotel was the worst- checked into a room with people still in bed - no other room available Then another room found with two fans in the room - strangely we could get the air con to work - apparently no issue before ( even though fans everywhere Terrible service with staff who didn’t care - breakfast shocking - avoid at all costs

Room wasn't ready (although we got a free glass of Prosecco for the trouble), or very clean. Disappointing as the room was quite expensive.

Great location and great hotel! However the air conditioning is non-existent, despite setting the air conditioning in the room accordingly it did nothing.

More like a hostel than a 4* hotel. Tiny rooms, poor state of repair, views of an Asda car park, no conditioner in shower, ikea furniture looks down on these rooms. Very disappointing.

Such a lovely hotel, breakfast fantastic and parking really helpful.
