Nice hotel up on the hills and the view from our room was amazing and the service from the front desk to the breakfast area and the shuttle driver and waiters very helpful We are really thankful to Nello at the front desk for helping us to book all the tours. We really enjoy everything Capri, Amalfi and Positano tours. The restaurants close to the hotel and the ones at Sorrento town amazing food and the little stores in the town. We highly recommend this hotel.

This has been the most memorable hotel I have stayed in. The views from the Villa are breathtaking. The room was beautiful. I will definitely return!

Nice hotel. If you are young and you would like to enjoy night life in Sorrento then this hotel is not for you. The bus to hotel from town takes 25 minutes, and the last but from bus station leaves at 10:15 pm. It is a good hotel for seniors, or families. That was my only issue that I really would like to enjoy city and I could not due to distance of hotel to city.

I enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were all exceptional in all areas. Very friendly and most spoke English. Add breakfast to your stay. The pool was nice and not too busy. Area is too far to walk to big town but 5 min walk to small local village if you need anything. I rented a car from Naples and drove to the town in 10 min. Drive to Positano in 40 min. Hotel booked a Ferry trip to Capri for me. Very safe area. This was a mother daughter trip and I was happy and safe the whole time. Highly recommended! Will be returning.

Staff are highly attentive, welcoming, and accommodating. Clean, safe, and quiet location. Free shuttle bus service into Sorrento and back is efficient and runs nearly hourly. Air conditioned too! Recommend booking seats in advance at reception due to demand.

Overall a good experience with awesome views of Serranto. Located 20-25 minutes from the City Center by car, the hotel does provide a shuttle to and from the City Center. The property & rooms are a little tired looking and the TV was smaller than my computer screen at home. However, the best part of this property was an unexpected surprise - just a 10 minute nature trail walk away you’ll discover a charming little village (Massa Lubrense) We had the best meals at very reasonable prices at Buenos Aires Pizzeria restaurant.

Shuttle into town was very convenient. Made good use of the nearby town for dining options. Convenient parking for rental scooter.

Beautiful hotel with great view of Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. We asked to upgrade, and the staff was very accommodating. Great restaurant on site, with good breakfast and dinner. Free shuttle taking customers to Sorrento. The entire staff was amazing!! The only negative thing I have to say is that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

Great hotel for the family with amazing service and incredible views!

Beautiful views, yummy included breakfast (you can have it next to the pool and enjoy the views), shuttle available back and forth to the hotel (recommend putting your name down for the time you plan to go to the centre, hotel is close to a small village with plenty of food and gelato options! Staff were very friendly and they were able to secure us a taxi to our train station on a holiday with a last minute notice! We had some wifi connection trouble but I think that could be due to the hotel’s location on the mountains! The hotel also offers a bar, caffe, table tennis, pool, and a restaurant if you’re looking for a place to just stay in and relax! It was overall a great experience and would definitely go back again!

The staff were wonderful and the location was perfect. The pool was a welcome relief from the hot day sun. The hotel is near the little town of St. Agata where there so many great restaurants.

Great experience, the hotel is owned by the sweetest family who are very accommodating to guest’s needs! The sea view is extraordinary, the breakfast is great, and the hotel offers free shuttle service to the heart of Sorrento which is extremely convenient!

While the Grand Hermitage may have lost some of its original splendor, it has not lost any of its hospitality, incredibly attentive staff and amazing views (be sure to book a balcony room). If you are looking for a flashy hotel with modern appointments, this is not the place for you. The hotel is about 15 minutes from downtown Sorrento, but has a shuttle that provides service during certain hours of the day. Some updates could be made (a little more comfortable beds for example), but the charm of the place more than makes up for a fancy door handle or light fixture.

If you are looking for a hotel with amazing views and the nicest staff, then this is the place you want. From a price perspective this is also a good deal. Make sure to choose a room with ocean view as its absolutely stunning and sitting on you balcony enjoying the view is fantastic. Rooms are good in size and we didn’t lack space, even with an extra bed for our daughter in the room. The beds are a little on the hard side, but that seem to be the standard in many hotels throughout Italy and didn’t bother us (just something to be aware of in case you have a sensitive back) :) The rooms have tile floors which are nice as it makes it easy to clean, In general the room was nice and clean. Pool is good size and nice and with one end which is nice and deep. The tanning deck has the same amazing view out over Sorento and the bay as the rooms do. Parking to the hotel is along the private road up and it was not a problem getting space. Breakfast was slightly above standard with everything you need; eggs (hard boiled and scrambled), ham, salami, cheese, bread, yoghurt, water melon, juices, coffee, etc. Plentiful for sure. All the staff we met were extremely kind, sweet and helpful. It seems like a big family who have worked together for years. All in all, a great place to stay and we will certainly be coming back!

Grand Hotel Hermitage was one of the most pleasant and comfortable hotels my boyfriend and I have ever stayed in. The view is indescribable, the pool is clean and sizable, and the pool deck is spacious and beautiful. The rooms were large with two balconies, perfect for enjoying the sun from. The hotel is also extremely responsible with hand sanitizer everywhere and they are constantly disinfecting everything and everyone was wearing masks. The absolute best part of the hotel though are the staff. They go above and beyond for you, and are always offering the best advice and help for the area. They were so accommodating to us it was really special. This is the perfect getaway on the entire Amalfi cost to relax or work from!! I wish so badly we didn’t have to leave.

Room clean and tidy; shuttles to Sorrento and back fine

The staff was always extremely helpful and polite. Staff met us at our car and check in was quick and easy. The property is about 20 to 30 minutes from Sorrento city center, but the hotel offers free shuttle service. The rooms, however, were terrible. Tiny, uncomfortable beds. There were 2 other chairs in the room which we didn't feel safe sitting on. For the money, the amenities were poor. We had dinner and breakfast included. Again the service was great, but the food was bad. Cooked breakfast was always cold. Overall, we felt the accommodations were very overpriced.

The views are spectacular from this hotel as it sits on top of the hill (its a bit of a drive). There is a quaint town within walking distance behind the hotel I highly suggest visiting and exploring. The hotel itself has very attentive and lovely staff. The hotel arranged a private car from the Naples train station then back to the airport, which was a very reasonable price comparatively (110 Euros each way). The hotel also booked our tour to Capri which was amazing. Thank you to Gloria and the staff for their hospitality! For the hotel itself we stayed in the villa romita which is a separate building. It is clean and quaint. This is an older facility. We booked a double bed which was two twins pushed together, if you choose this room ask for the pillow topper (much more comfortable). Also the hair dryer is a tube in the wall that blows cool air, minor inconvenience but heads up to bring your own if you require. I cannot comment on the food but the restaurant appeared to be full every night. There is a free shuttle (need to make a reservation) that operates until 10pm if you want to go into town. Overall beautiful views, pleasant staff, and great location to explore capri/almafi. If you are looking for something more modern with bells and whistles this may not be the place for you.

Spectacular views in an ideal setting. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free shuttle to and from Sorrento was a bonus as we were not driving.
