Service was excellent, breakfast was excellent. The room was the main problem. The shower did not function, there was the hand held shower which was broken and so you couldn’t use the shower handless. The rain shower head flooded the floor unless you tipped towards the shower wall to prevent it from spilling over the tub and pooling on the floor. The air conditioning was controlled by the hotel and went off periodically, especially in the middle of the night! I had to request it to be set. You had no control on the temperature. The in room safe was not attached to the anything (screws are rolling lose inside) you could walk off with it. No coffee or water in the room. Did not feel like a four star hotel. The furnishings are top quality but the amenities are borderline. The staff is wonderful, Mario and Simone and the breakfast staff are excellent as well as the breakfast. Onsite parking is 15 euros per night and is limited space, 4 cars max. One night my car was parked outside for a few hours to accommodate someone visiting the hotel. Location is very good for access to the ferry service, not near the beach.

Very pleasant and friendly greeting. Hotel is modern and clean but sleep was difficult as hotel is next to a busy road and port and double glazed windows did not keep out the noise!
Breakfast was sparse at 9:15 with various empty plates.

Service is attentive and accommodating. Breakfast buffet is quite good. Quiet room with comfortable bed. Bathroom was very awkwardly arranged in my room. One had to sit side-saddle on the toilet. It was in a corner between the bidet and a space-wasting cover for the plumbing below the basin. The entrance to the shower was more narrow than any hotel i have ever stayed in. I would add photos of the bathroom, but the hotels.com app seems to be malfunctioning. Again.

Excellent hotel, clean and comfortable. Our receptionist Simona gave us a warm welcome and arranged a perfect airport transfer from Catania airport in advance of our arrival…she was in contact as soon as we landed to confirm our driver was ready.

My twin room was very small, much smaller than my friends’ rooms which was much better than mine for the same price . Shower head was not working properly and the shower was awful. Good breakfast and nice staff. Hotel needs some renovation, photos look much nicer than reality . Expensive for what it is .

Quick overnight stay on the way back from Aeolian Islands, Hotel has a modern interior and rooms, modern bathrooms and amenities. The beds are notably very comfortable and large. A couple of small details could be improved, There was quite a bit of limescale on the drencher shower head. There was also just one towel left in the room. I’m guessing a mistake rather than as standard. The hotel is a 8minute drive (So roughly 15 euro taxi away from the main train station).

The reception was tending the bar (for coffees) and doing breakfast. They were great but having to go find someone every time you wanted a refill was disappointing. Otherwise great hotel and would happily recommend or stay again.

We stayed in this hotel on our way from Catania to Palermo. It was an unplanned stay, but we're happy that this hotel is available for the four of us. The hotel room is very nice and clean. It seems like it was renovated recently (as of 2014). The front desk attendant is able to speak english and very nice and polite. The location is close to the port (on the south side), perfect for going on day trip on the aeolian islands tour. but there is not that many restaurants around the hotel.

Nice four star hotel. It is very clean and new, it seems like it was recently renovated. It was a pleasant stay for the four of us in the quadruple room. The only complain was the shower is a bit broken.

The air conditioning was not working and it was like being in a sauna.
Luisa, the young lady on reception did her best to help and moved us to a room with a balcony that opened onto the harbour. This, unfortunately, was rather noisy because of the night-long traffic and, even with the door wide open, wasn't much cooler.
Dinner was a more pleasant experience, and Luisa helped us with the menu because the other charming young ladies in the restaurant weren't fluent in English.
Luisa also arranged a shuttle service to the airport for us which was first class.
If you're planning on staying here, I'd make sure of the air conditioning first because it really was a problem.
