I was supper impressed at check in, even given directions to a local petrol station, food and drinks in the bar were spot on for me, the room was very good including underfloor heating in the bathroom, nice early breakfast allowed me to get on the road just after 7am, only slight negative was the EV charger is not working, I would still give a 10 out of 10 overall would have been a 12 if I could have got a charge👍

I will start by saying the staff were fabulous but that is where my good report ends. How this place is classed as a Best Western Plus is a mystery. The room, whilst spacious and clean, was beige and unappealing. My view was of a rubbish tip with corrugated metal containers dotted around. The walls were not particularly thick so everything could be heard. The "restaurant" (I use the word loosely) was awful. The choice was extremely limited,with no healthy options that I could see. I ordered the chicken burger with salad which was basically a few lettuce leaves and a quartered tomato. No dressing at all. No condiments except for ketchup and brown sauce. Breakfast was slightly better in that they cooked it to order which was nice. The poached eggs were perfect but they got the toast wrong and the bread and calibre of ingredients was poor. Considering this was not a budget hotel, a BW Plus, I expected everything to be better than what was there. I would never stay again.

Room and bed was comfortable. No water pressure for a decent shower and the shower head needed tightening up or replacing. Restaurant needs a bitnof atmosphere. Apart from that, all good

Service from all staff was excellent and friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. Margaret in particular went above and beyond. Clean comfortable room, quiet and a great nights sleep was had Lovely cooked breakfast, grest continental selection, and friendly wait ataff. In all great value for money, will stay again.

The outside of the hotel looks very rundown, with weeds and rubbish in the flower beds and car park. The inside was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

It is a good facility for a short stay. You should have your own transportation.

Hotel rooms a little tired in places. Breakfast service too slow.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, while checking out we spoke to two staff members, they were incredibly sweet and friendly - you could tell they genuinely care about you having the best stay possible. The facilities could use some updates but everything is clean and comfortable.

Great hotel for a stop over to York.

Was disappointing - when i got there no restaurant i had been driving all day. The AC did not work and was a warm day and you can not open the window either - so a very poor night sleep, and TV would not change channel. apart from that ok - Staff behind the desk not interested. Thanks BW.

Basic hotel. Stayed Monday night as it was close to where I needed to be the following day. the restaurant was closed but staff vet helpful in sorting out a table for us to have a takeaway. The staff definitely the best asset to this hotel! The room was ok, bed VERY uncomfortable, shower a bit pathetic. Breakfast very average. Overall, zero motivations to return.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was awesome and the breakfast was great too.

The staff were friendly,breakfast was very enjoyable. Due to the hotel not being able to provide evening meals we were advised where we could find somewhere to eat I could not fault the hotel or the staff.

Overall we found this hotel to be really nice. They were doing some maintenance work, but it didn't interrupt our stay at all. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Price was acceptable. I would stay there again if i needed a place in the Leeds area.

Would I stay again. No. Probably back in the day it was a good hotel. But not now. No dinner available. View from window is poor. One person doing a good job running the hotel. But in life you have to try things yourself. For me I will not be staying here again.

restaurant was closed. Had to order a pizza. Windows in room was sealed shut and AC didnt work well. I spent the night with a wet towel on me to try and cool down. Breakfast was poor.

This wasn't the hotel I thought I'd booked, so everything was a surprise. The room was marvellous - rather a suite than a room, unfortunately the view was of a large container storage area. Staff excellent. My recommendation is to ask for a room at the front!

For a 1 night everything was excellent, courteous and helpful staff. Very clean accommodation. Faultless.

Margaret on reception was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable but overall the hotel smells a little stale. Need to get rid of small plastic bottles of shampoo etc and get dispensers to improve eco rating.

Ideally located to wedding venue we were attending. Friendly reception staff made us feel welcome. Room was warm and comfortable.

Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Hotel is very clean. The rooms are very comfortable. Dinner was very tasty (excellent fish & chips and steak & chips, wide selection of gins). Have stayed before with two small dogs, and will definitely stay again as they really are pet friendly.

Comfortable bed and clean room. Hotel is located adjacent a main road but traffic noise was not an issue. Restaurant food was adequate but un-exciting. We did not have breakfast. The bar price for Port was incorrect in that a single measure was 25ml whereas it should be 50ml. Our a portion of our bar bill was refunded without question when I informed the hotel manager.

Excellent hotel ,clean warm only thing i can fault is the breakfast, sausages were uncooked .

Only stayed one night but couldn’t fault anything while there, friendly competent staff, we had a nice meal in the restaurant, will be back again when visiting the area.
