The hotel is great. Highly recommended. Our room had a huge window with river and Mountain View. Breakfast was very good, great location closed to bus and train and the staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful.

Decent place but could use a little touch up and modernization. It’s located all the way at the southeast end of the lower tracks. The map on Hotels.com is a bit misleading. Staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Good place to stay if you are budget conscious.

This property was terrible. Not only is there noise from all the trains that are nearby, but you can also smell the exhaust within the whole building. The bathrooms were also not cleaned very well. Also, we were forced to cancel our stay here the same day we arrived due to a strike from the local railroad and Machu Picchu workers. The hotel did not offer any partial or full refund for the incovenience. We had to rebook and leave immediately because no trains would be running possibly for several days and we would not be able to leave Aguas Calientes which is only accessible by train. No cars or taxis can access this region. REALLY TERRIBLE

It is very well located, where the train arrives. Close to where the buses to Machu Picchu leave, places to eat and the craft market.
Room 108, which I was assigned, has a very nice view of the river and appears to be well presented.
However, it has poor air quality, since the air does not circulate and there is a strong sense of humidity. I couldn't tell if it was from the wall (it was recently painted), or from the mattress. I couldn't sleep because of it.

Nice room and gorgeous view of the river and mountains. The hotel is located very close to the train station and is next to several top rated restaurants in Aguas Calientes. Would stay here again.

Wow this hotel was amazing. Super clean nice room. The staff amazing. The lady at the lobby was so friendly and helpful. Actually she went above and beyond as I had already checked out of my room and waiting for my train to go back to Cusco, I went for a long hike. When I went to pick up my luggage I made the comment that I wanted to change because I probably smell like a pig due to the hike. She offered me a room to take a shower despite of the fact that I already checked out. Amazing.

The Hotel was pretty good. It was clean, it had a nice view of the river and it was only a few minute's walk from anything. The good thing was that the hotel served breakfast started at 4:30 am which allows one to eat before catching the early bus up to Machu Picchu.
The issues I had were that I reserved the Panoramic room with the River view and they tried to put me in a normal room. They quickly corrected the issue. The other issue is that I reserved the hotel for a price in $$ but on check-in, they converted the fee to Soles and charged me the equivalent of about $9 more. When I caught it, later on, the other receptionist said he couldn't change it and tried to show me that the conversion was correct by using a higher conversion factor on a calculator. I ended up disputing the difference on my credit card instead.

The view was great except for the garbage all along the river at the back of the hotel. As far as the hotel itself was concerned I have a list of concerns which the staff did not want to hear or address. 1. Front desk clerk was rude, always telling me she was too busy come back or call later2. The smell of the hotel was awful- smelled like a urinal3. No or limited wifi in the rooms4. Bathroom smelled like sewage5. Shower didn’t drain properly6. Lack of toilet paper in room 7. Excess humidity in the room from windows not closing properly 8. Bugs in room again due to windows not closing properly 9. Broken hair dryer10. Problems with the safe11. We were asked to leave our key when we left for the day for the room to get cleaned, when we came back to our room it was left unlocked after it had been cleaned. Our stuff was in the unlocked room. Also we can only surmise that there is only one key for the room because we were asked to leave our only key.

The hotel was right next to the train tracks, so you could feel the tremors when a train passed through. The service was OK, the staff was very nice, they tried to accommodate us. The elevator was not operational, they apologized for it then we asked for another room given the original room was up on the 4th floor, so they moved us downstairs. The room had an amazing view of the river, however it had a very strong mold odor. The Wi-fi did not work properly, neither did the Direct TV, so we only had a few channels working, they came to reset it but after a few minutes it didn't work again, so we just left it alone. We only stayed one night, so it was OK, but if we were to stay longer I would definitely request another room. The breakfast buffet was good.

Spectacular views of the river. The best night's sleep I've had in 30 years with the sound of rushing water right outside our room.

Our hotel room was on a corner and overlooked the river and mountains.
Staff was very helpful and even kept our bags for nearly 6 hours after we checked out.
Breakfast was restocked often, hot and really great.
I'm not sure if the room had AC, but we traveled in April and did not need it at night.
The location is away from the main tourist street and square, but everything is so walkable it was not a problem at all.
The street where the hotel is located has numerous bars and restaurants and is incredibly close to the train station.
The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. Great value for what we got.

We were very pleased with this very clean comfortable modern hotel located only a few minutes walk from the center of Macchu Picchu town. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was the best we experienced on our nine day trip through Peru and Ecuador. The beds were comfortable and the shower was roomy and clean. Viewed through our window was a beautiful mountain view with a river rushing by, very charming, and the sound helped us sleep peacefully. Never heard the trains go by even with the close proximity to the station. Appreciated the new elevator for all our baggage.

Hotel is nice and clean, but windows did not have screens .we got so many bug bits I'm scratching myself to this day.we close the windows but then there was no air conditioning. Hotel was right by railroad station and sound of trains was always there.ill never go back to this hotel. By the way the breakfast that they provide was of very low quality and cheap.

Horrible experience, checked in and the room didn't have any towels. Asked for towels and it took forever to get them and once I got them they were dirty. Asked for clean towels and they refused to provide them. Never again.
