Pretty much as expected. The staff was fine, the facilities okay, and they do their best to keep it clean. My main issues were with other guests being inconsiderate, but in a room of nine that's to be expected. The only difficulties I had with the hostel itself was the often confusing layout, and an expensive laundry fee with a dryer that doesn't fully dry the clothes.

I liked my room. It was close to a big window.

Great location. Great wifi Electricity. Decor was not great. No recycling. I was told I was too old.

Had a twin bunk room. Clean room but corridors a bit sticky. Really narrow stairs to top floor. Not suitable for anyone with disabilities as stairs narrow and steep.

The lockers below the bed is very old and noisy. Each time a person opens them makes loud noise as they are made of heavy iron. Room was also extremely hot without any air con or fan.

Good hostel. The only thing to say is that there is no lift and I had to climb really steep stairs.

Booked £12 bed for 3 nights online, going by the pictures alone. Once checked in, went with my several carrier bags and suitcase, the kind thats next size up from a cabin bag. The room was tiny, 3 beds high and at least 20 beds crammed together. Floor filled with scattered underwear, clothing, overflowing bags, footwear, and it wreaked of dirty smell. Locker below bed was occupied by someone's clothing. I went back out to reception & they said use another locker. One empty, but couldn't get my suitcase in. Then i fill it with my bags. Back to reception to ask for case to be stored in left luggage. Was told theres a storeroom in the basement but i couldn't get access to it, and once its there, then would only get back knce checked out. No use to me coz i had specified upon booking that im disabled. Then i asked if i could use the large upright lockers in the reception area. Refused, boz they were not available. By this time im getting very worried and anxious. It was after 10pm, and since the location was almost 1hour away by bus from city centre, i didnt have much choice but to stay. Then i asked if there was any private rooms, as advertised as a bunk with double bed on base and single on top. Was going to be charged over £40, whereas advertised as £37. Told thats been removed. Finally, had to book into last double room, which i was told was their "new room". At a price of a touch over £60 per night.And as a bonus, breakfast included. Which turned out to be basic continental

Only problem is there was no lift. We got room at the 4th floor so we have go on staircase after walking all day

Receptionist were very helpful when needed. But there cleaning staff, extremely ignorant and rude! Room was ok to just sleep in but the sign on the door talking about bugs...quite off putting ngl. Location was good thou accessible to most things in few minuet walk. Tbh you get what you pay for

People stole and the management doesn’t care

Mixed room was like war area. Smells bad. Only wait here for 10 min. We use it like clackroom. After 3 hours we just checked out.

Smart Hyde Park Inn Hostel is located in central London. It is easy to get to by bus or tube. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a little cramped for space but at least social distancing was observed. The kitchen is small and very busy.There was only one stove and one microwave so queues quiclky formed. It is quite quiet and lots of relaxing space. Nice tvs and Wi Fi. Also Tv on demand via an app. Excellent value for money and will stay again

Rooms were so dirty and there were What appeared to be homeless people all over the hotel, making you feel unsafe even when you’re inside... Also, common areas smelled bad. The price is pretty good, and so is the location, but I don’t know whether it’s all that worth it.

Affordable and close to metro and shopping . Walking distance to Hyde park

Positives first! It is located only five minutes from Queensway underground station, so easy for travel purposes. The breakfast is also good enough - toast, cereal, and a selection of hot and cold drinks. I never really go for fancy breakfasts anyway. The bunk, with the curtains pulled over, offered me a good degree of privacy and the 11:30 lights out rule is ideal for a dormitory. The staff were also helpful when I lost my keycard, and they were happy to answer any questions. Downsides! Don't pick here if you have any sort of mobility issue. There are multiple floors, no automatically opening doors and it has a lot of turning stairs. Pretty, but not good for those who are less-than-able-bodied. If you are particularly affected by the smell of weed, avoid. There seems to be near-constant smoking outside and it does often waft indoors.

I booked 3 nights in this hostel but the shower had always just cold water. All other things 👍

An air fan in a room was awsome! A public area (a sofa/chairs etc) were a bit dirty.

Fairly good location, but that's pretty much it. Rooms were tiny and poorly ventilated with rickety metal beds that made any movement from others make it shake. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable, and the bedding they give you doesn't even include a fitted sheet. On top of that, it looks like the cleaning they do pretty much only involves vacuuming and folding the comforter. No cleaning seems to be done on any surface at all. On top of all that, the staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful.

Centrally located, budget friendly, and clean all that you need for a vacation. The ensuite is a little bit more but worth it. Modern and functional bathroom facilities in the ensuite rooms. Clean linen with daily housekeeping, worth it!

Worst than prison. Hot, cramped, not nearly enough room for the amount of people they cram in. I had to have the front desk turn on AC with a shared room of 16 people. Why they would need to be reminded is beyond me.

You get what you pay for. The rooms are very adequate. The smaller shared rooms (4-6 beds) are significantly cleaner than the larger (12 or so beds a room). The staff is generally very helpful and nice however.
