Beautiful property! Great rooms overlooking the gulf. Wonderful pool and grounds. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants/shops.

We were Overly-Pleased with the Henderson! The staff was very friendly & helpful! the rooms and property were clean. The food was delicious! the location to the beach was good! No Complaints; hope to return soon!

Hotel overall is extremely nice although had several issues. First had an issue with the final invoice and have still not received a response from anyone to correct it. Seems like once they had my money they are not worried about it. The options for parking are 30.00 for self park a night and 35.00 for valet. We did the self park which and they’re doing construction so our vehicle was covered in concrete dust but still paid 30.00 a night. A resort of this time shouldn’t be charging customers to park. You also have to pay nightly for WIFI 15.00. Yes you have to pay for WiFi. You can go to McDonalds and get good wifi. The free WiFi they do have at the resort is so slow that it’s their way of getting you to pay for the fast WiFi out of frustration. We went to the beach where they have a hut to get towels etc. The employee informed us that we could only have 1 towel per person. Like we plan to steal towels. We were with our toddler and wanted to sit on the sand after getting into the ocean. So I had to walk the 1/4 mile back to the hotel and bring towels from there. Several little things that make it seem like a 4 star resort but they treat stuff like it’s a cheap air line trying to nickle and dime you to death.

Hotel itself was nice and the amenities but everything costed extra on top of resort-fees. Parking, beach chairs… it was off season during my stay but for some reason they put us next to a family with shared door and walls are paper thin. I could hear there tv and them talking. No privacy, expected more from high end resort.

This is a beautiful property with a lot of different bars and dining options (although beware - it's standard resort pricing - but there are many other options in the area). The spa is also really nice and has a lot of options for treatments. The view from our room was unbeatable, looking out over the nature preserve. It was very quiet, probably the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in. The reasons for the 4 stars: 1) We arrived at 2:30 pm and were not able to check in until 3:30. Even though this is within the time listed in the policy, in my experience, it's kind of rare for a hotel to keep you waiting for so long this late in the day. 2) The staff were awesome but some of them seemed stretched a bit thin - eg there was only one server/busser/bartender in the restaurant during the lunch rush, and the kitchen was very far away, so there would be long times when there was no one available. Again, the staff were fantastic - this seems like a planning problem on the part of the resort. 3) Be prepared to be steeply charged for everything - beach chair rentals, snacks, parking, bottled water, etc. 4) Small details, but if you're driving you should bring your own TP (the stuff they have is very cheap, basically single-ply) and pillows (the pillows are so flat they're basically like having nothing at all)
