Great stay, this please is cheap and cheerful but to be honest none of the local hotels are up to much. Most people going to Fort William are walking Ben Nevis, but there isn't much in Fort William itself. If you visit make sure you eat at the Garrison West!

Great location, walking distance to main street with all the shops and pubs. Short car drive to Ben Nevis. Two large grocery stores just next door and train station beside them.

Since this was student accommodation I wasn't expecting hotel - or even guest house standards. Indeed the room was quite adequate for my purpose of a night's sleep. On the down side I could only just squeeze into the shower and, once in, could not move to reach to wash my legs and feet. I actually had to stand outside to wash my feet! Think small telephone box. One thing that really should be provided is soap, or at least a clear advance warning that there wouldn't be any. There was a notice on the wall about a pack of welcome goodies but maybe that was only for the students. So, in short, adequate, but don't expect anything other than a bed and a wash basin

Clean and tidy. Good to have self-cook facilities but with limited utensils. No hair dryer is a trouble to me. A bonus is that the steam train will pass by & you can have a close look.

Although told the bed was narrow- this was hopeless for two.

This is a very simple facility. We booked it for sleeping and it did fail to perform on this simple task due to an alarm going off two nights of our three nights stay. No responsible person available who could react on the alarm or turn it off all the night. I kindly asked hotels.com for refund, but they did not answer my mail.

I did not stay at the Fort William location. I had made an error on the date I required accomodation. With that said, I contacted the location via email, repeatedly. I never once received the courtesy of a reply. Since they chose not to reply to me, I chose not to cancel my reservation. I would prefer they'd have an empty room, which I paid for, than to receive payment from another traveler, to fill the room which I'd paid for and received no refund. The thing that bothered me the most, was the fact that I did not receive the courtesy of a reply. This is very poor practice, and therefore, I would never recommend making a reservation with them.

Good stay for those who is going to climb Ben Nevis, just 20 mins drive. A lot of shops around.

The room was good for an individual guest. Clean and comfortable. Only issue was that the room was very warm but a fan was provided which helped.

The room was very hot – the window could only be opened slightly and it was still really hot all the time. The pillows were almost nonexistent – the stuffing was clumped up and very minimal and old. I woke up with a stiff neck each morning. That paired with the heat of the room meant I didn’t get a good sleep. You are told that the fire alarms in the rooms are extremely sensitive (so much so that steam from the shower will set it off) and they were correct – I was woken up by the fire alarms going off at 7 am one morning. Everyone had to evacuate & the fire brigade came, turns out it was just some burnt toast… The room included towels, however was missing some hotel basics such as hand soap and a bin in the room. The communal kitchen was pretty bare, and the TV in the common room didn’t work. The WiFi was strong - you had to set up an account which was a bit annoying, but at least it worked.

Great place to stay, location was ideal, close to supermarkets, train station, etc. Quite a compact room but adequate, nice and clean ideal for us. Checking in staff was very welcoming and friendly.

Nice big room. Massive bath room, Everything was clean.

Price too high. Kitchen is available if you wish to cook, but for the money we were charged 108 pounds for one night, better deals are available.

We had problems with the shower, it was impossible for us to take a shower after a long day. But the room was fine considering our expectations.

Wanted a location near to Ben Nevis. .Room was comfortable and place felt new. Able to Park outside. Having a kitchen and a fridge / freezer was especially useful. Fort William is also nice.

Comfortable clean functional room, with a shared kitchen area. Great value accommodation.

Very contemporary studio suite in student residences close to centre and very handy for Ben Nevis. Very clean with all needed to self cater. Bed nother the comfiest for our likes and room far too hot due to record high temperatures. Would definitely return here and recommend.

Great place to stay. Within walking distance to grocer stores and downtown.Only slight problem was the toilet seat was not level.

This is a very convenient self catering place to stay close to the centre of fort William with a shared kitchen. We were among the first guests in this newly completed building so everything was brand new and the kitchen fully equipped.
