Beautiful space!

Nice facilities. Comfortable bed and pillows. But all the rooms are above a restaurant through the creakiest stairs I've ever walked on, and all the room hinges need some oil. There was no ice available that we could find, nor any elevator for lugging our suitcase up to the room. That being said, it was fine for one night

It is a beautiful property in a great location. But it took a while to get the access code texted to check in (there are no employees on site). Additionally, I wish hotels would just have regular old light switches instead of mystery buttons and hidden clickers to turn on lights. And the "Free Breakfast" was packets of oatmeal and a jar of granola. Oh and coffee. But no sugar. For the price of the room one might have at least thought juice? A great concept but lacking in warmth. The adjacent restaurant staff at Sorella were all terrific.

The place doesn't have any desk staff so if you need something I'm not sure who you'd ask. That wasn't the main problem though. The main problem is that the property's concept is that there is a communal kitchen and sitting area that guests are encouraged to use and possibly meet other guests. In theory that seems nice but the area was so close to my room (and all the rooms really) that I wasn't able to sleep. Someone went into the kitchen at 515am and started making coffee and fixing their breakfast. This continued throughout the early morning hours. The noise of doors slamming as people came and went to the common area and the noise of people using the area made it impossible to sleep. On top of that the curtains don't quite cover the windows so as I was woken up by the noise I was kept up by the sunrise coming through the window. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Awesome hotel. Great stay. Great restaurant

I expected better from this hotel given how much the rooms go for each night. The room was very clean but lacked certain features that would have made it a more comfortable stay. The beds did not have headboards, so I found my pillow sliding off and behind the mattress throughout the night. There was also only one small chair next to a tiny side table, so the two of us staying in the room could not both sit in the room if we wanted to. Over half the light bulbs in the bathroom were out or flickering. And the self service 24 hour laundry next to the kitchen was just a storage closet piled with dirty towels and cleaning supplies left by housekeeping. It would have been nice to do laundry after coming back from a week long trip in the Upper Peninsula. Lastly, there’s about a 2” gap between the room door and the floor, so you can hear everyone and everything in the guest house. And they can hear you. So no privacy either. Overall, the room was nice and clean, just a bit neglected and impractical.

Great location, free parking, and lots of great places to eat nearby including in the same building. Very clean and quiet room with soaring ceilings. Would definitely stay again.

When traveling we try to experience new things including lodging. We selected this property for it's proximity to places we wanted to visit. It is a beautiful building with all of the necessary amenities. It is eclectically designed with an industrial look yet warm and inviting. Parking is included in their rates. Full size kitchen and laundry available for guests. The only strange thing that I am reluctant to mention is the entrance was shared with a restaurant. Close to Milwaukee and surrounding suburbs. We recommend to others.

The property is really worth the money! Super nice

The room was quite lovely. Clean and very comfortable with some nice modern touches including the large accessible shower and high-end mattress and bedding. Nice view of the neighborhood through large windows, providing daylight and ambiance in the evening. Enjoyed the common kitchen with Nespresso, glassware, and other options. As a person with some mobility restrictions, I wasn't aware that navigating to the floor where the guest rooms are located requires using a steep staircase. I was able to get up and down but it was less than ideal. On the first night of my stay, there was a family down the hall with very small and very loud children who didn't settle down until well after midnight. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the property to others, with the caveats above.

Seems like a great hotel, booked my parents there with a reservation made late in the day, and the staff took a call and got us the security code to access the hotel area and room promptly. Large, clean, well-appointed rooms.

Overall a very good stay. Location was very good for our needs. Able to walk to stores nearby for a quick bite to eat. The room was a good size and overall very nice. Bed was a little soft for my liking. Not sure why it said breakfast included on website. The only thing they had was coffee, tea and packages of oatmeal. Not exactly what I would call breakfast included. But there are locations within a 3 to 5 minute walk that did offer breakfast choices. I would stay here again when visiting Milwaukee.

Great location and Sorella’s is an amazing place to eat. Our room was extremely clean and cozy and the area was quiet.

The atmosphere was wonderful with the high open rooms, the kitchen and the neighborhood.

I usually don’t post negative reviews but I can’t not warn people about this place. We stayed for one night at Kinn Guesthouse Bayview. The refrigerator was broken so we lost all of the food that we had for our trip and our leftovers from the Public Market. We had a toddler with us so food is crucial! We wanted to shower the night we arrived but could not due to BLACK MOLD inside and outside of the shower. That’s disgusting and hazardous! You could see where they painted over the mold but it grew right back! We would have really liked to shower before getting on the road the next day. As we were packing things up the morning we were leaving, our toddler opened the bathroom door (which we kept closed with the fan on the whole time-black mold) and then closed it, the door came crashing down and landed on the side of the bed. That was terrifying! He easily could have been very hurt. My husband put it back up there but realized the door was missing a piece that was needed and that’s why it fell off so easily. We contacted Ewvin the property manager to discuss the three issues and he was quick to get off the phone and said he would go look at the mold and get back to us after speaking to the owner. He never called back. We reached out multiple times with calls, voicemails, texts, and emails. He completely ghosted us. How shady.

A little gem in a great hood….. loved the concept. The manager was easily accessible when we were initially challenged by the entry code but would definitely stay here again.

Will definitely stay here next time we’re in Milwaukee!

Gorgeous little place with real brick walls and a really nice community living room/kitchen area if you want to step out of your hotel room. Downstairs is a delicious italian restaurant as well.

We never were able to find this booking so we thought it didn’t go through. The day of the booking we got our first contact from them and by that time we panicked and booked another room.

Fully stocked with everything you would want including filtered water in the fridge. Would stay here again!

Fantastic and unique. The room had such a fun atmosphere and decor. We had a few questions on arrival, and they were promptly answered even without someone on site. The common areas had high quality appliances and were exceptionally clean. Just be aware that there are a lot of stairs to navigate. It was not a problem for us but could be for some.

Everything was lovely.. not sure why breakfast included was listed on Expedia. Also but wasn’t the most comfortable . But I loved the cute ambiance .

Unique little stay, quiet and clean. It was only about ten minutes from the airport and the area was great! Would definitely stay here again! Made us feel right at home!

A wonderful place to stay a super beautiful large room but most of all I loved the common space of the kitchen and living room area. The refrigerator comes equipped with your own section to put your own food and you can have a nightcap of wine at night or make yourself a pizza like we did. Comes with coffee and hot herbal teas that were delicious as well. Totally recommend this place

This "hotel" is located in a not-so-nice-but-not-completely-terrible area of Milwaukee. Let's say I wouldn't walk around alone. Fortunately, the on-site restaurant (Sorella) is WONDERFUL, so I didn't have to. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the communal kitchen was very well-equipped and very nice. There is no elevator and the top floor is up two very tall flights of stairs. The "key code" method of checking in works well, except that they didn't actually send me a code, so I had to call for it. (But once I had it, it was fine.) The room was very nicely converted. The only two problems were: (a) no blackout shades. Room 7 is on the NW, so this wasn't a morning problem, but if you have trouble with light, this really isn't the hotel for you. (b) the mattress needs turned, as the side everyone sleeps on is saggy. Overall, a nice place if you're OK with the set-up.

The property exceeded expectations! We stayed in Suite 2 while visiting family in the Cudahy/St. Francis area. It was perfectly located to restaurants and night life. The croissants and nespresso maker was perfect easy to take for breakfast. Highly recommend. The communication from staff through text was spot on for how to access. Thank you for a great stay!
