the rooms were clean and comfortable with tea making facilities. there was a nice bar area to have a drink and food. the staff were really helpful and friendly. one of them kindly let me borrow a phone charger because I didn’t have mine.

the room we had was one of the last left when we booked, it was upstairs a high metal staircase which would not suit anyone with mobility issues, room was quite small not much room & could hear people in next room through wall having sex.

Good size room, very clean and well presented. Comfortable bed with crisp clean linen. Bathroom was clean with a big shower.

Toilet was positioned between the shower and sink and was a little bit snug.

The welcome and assistance

We booked this hotel as we were attending "Back2Festival" at Catton Hall - the location was great and it was an added bonus having the bar downstairs, we actually pushed our taxi reservation back by an hour because we were having such a great time in the bar. The staff were incredibly friendly at check-in and whilst we were in the bar. We returned later that evening and went into town for some food, the hotel was perfectly located

The rooms varied massively - our room in the main building upstairs was spacious and clean but slightly dated, whereas our friends had a room which was accessible from the main car-park and was much more modern, with a comfortable sofa and newer furnishings. Despite this we couldn't fault the hotel as it was great value and perfectly located for our stay
