My wife and I stayed here for my Citadel 15 year homecoming. The overall experience was amazing. The staff were super nice. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to experience all of Charleston charm.

Our stay at Hotel Bennett was amazing!! I had planned my engagement with my now fiance and I let the hotel know in advance of my plans and a delivery of roses to the room in advance of our arrival. The hotel upgraded our room and treated us first class the whole time. I would give 10 stars if available for this review. We had the best time at an amazing hotel with first class charm!

The hotel is very nice, however after coming back to my room for the evening .. the maids had removed a white shopping bag from my room. I’ve followed up several times and no one can find my items and no one has taken responsibility for the stolen shopping bag.

The stay at Hotel Bennett was top notch! The room was immaculate. The staff was friendly and very helpful. A specail shout out to the concierge for having incredible suggestions and maps to help us make the most of our time. The room cleaning staff did a fantastic job everytime and went above and beyond with small details like wrapping our chargers and leaving water bottles by the bed. I really can't say enough good things about our stay here and would highly recommend Hotel Bennett to everyone! You really get what you pay for here.

Our first stay @ this property in Charleston. We were very impressed with both the physical plant and the staff we interacted with. All the staff is well trained and seem to know what to say to make you feel special.
Our King room with a verandah was nicely appointed with a lovely main room and bathroom. It was on the third floor and we heard only the occasional door shutting or someone laughing loudly as they passed our door: never heard anyone above or below us. Well constructed!
We ate a quick lunch @ the patisserie with dinner and breakfast @ Gabrielle. The food and service were both top notch.
Given the heat the rooftop pool and bar were very busy.
It is nice that it borders an intown park. It is a little over 0.6 miles to Market Street and many of the nicer restaurants.

Classy place, however, the rooftop pool and the non existent shade need serious improvement. The premium status of this hotel should afford each guest a place to sit pool side and provide shade. My poor wife had to sit on the floor of the pool deck for hours in the 100 degree weather with not shade. Only after a coupe hours was a seat available. The focus is instead on an additional $grab they collect with the limited cabana that are rented and sometimes not even occupied. Additionally, the pastry shop and restaurant had no 1/2 and 1/2 for coffee Saturday.Again, for the "status" of this hotel, Run down to the corner store and grab it . Finally the restaurant is mediocre and way over priced. They need some new non corporate blood in there to spice things up.

Hotel was beautiful. Did the King’s Club and it was totally worth it. People were fantastic. We had two rooms - one had a leak and they moved us quickly and gave us a generous credit. My only recommendation is the pool service. The girls working up there didn’t go out of their way and weren’t friendly. They didn’t clean up or take your order without asking. Everything else was perfect. We can’t wait to come back.
