Breakfast was not cooked on the premises and there were no options. unless you have a food allergy or a special request. All breakfast meals were microwaved to be heated up. The afternoon snacks were great especially after a long active day.

This is the perfect place for couples or singles to stay while visiting Bar Harbor. The historic house has been lovingly taken care of and beautifully decorated. The host was friendly and helpful with general information about the area. We had a secluded haven in the mist of a lively and beautiful seaport town. We would love to go back some day.

We arrived early and Bob came over to explain the history of the Inn (former church) and a brief tour of the property. The room was comfortable and roomy enough. The breakfast was far beyond what we were expecting; berry frape and Creme brule french toast is a great way to start the day. In the afternoon, they put out some wine, cheese, crackers and nuts. Very convenient location. We walked to town for dinner, etc. Would stay here again.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The property was located a couple of blocks from Main St so very convenient but quiet. The room was comfortable, property very well kept, easy parking, and the hosts were fantastic. Would definitely stay here again the next time we visit.

The property is older and is in need of some updating. Speaking with the owner (Bob) at breakfast who was a very nice guy has renovations planned this off season. Breakfast was included and it was great!!!

This Inn was wonderful. A little dated but it adds to the charm. Within walking distance to the village. The innkeeper was extremely kind and helpful, giving us tips on the area. The morning breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

We were given wrong time for breakfast, and Bob was demeaning when he told us we were early, he was not warm and friendly. Colonel was wonderful! Linette gave us wrong info on many things. We would not stay there again.

Loved how cute everything was! Breakfast was fancy and yummy! We enjoyed our talks with the owner and history about the house. They did a great job with this repurposed church! We would definitely stay again!!!

Inn has charm and quirky dated decor. However, it does need some updating and deep cleaning. The bed was not comfortable and the mattress needs to be replaced. Carpet was in pretty sad shape.

Bar Harbor was great. Ann’s White Columns not so great. AC didn’t work, tv was a joke, breakfast was not worth wasting your time on (frozen food popped into a microwave). Management didn’t care about their guest at all. Would not recommend this place at all.

Pro: It was convenient to go downtown. The owner was friendly. Cons: The room could have used a thorough deep clean including carpet and linens. No one came in to change towels, make the bed etc. on our second day there. The place was filled with a collection of very creepy dolls. Breakfast was meh.

We had a great time at White Columns Inn. Bob was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. The hotel itself we found to be in great condition and in a quiet location. We barely heard any noise from other guests. Highly recommend this as a place to stay!

Just lovely! Also, to let you know how great they were...we left and article of clothing at the Inn, and Robert made sure we received the article at our next location in Bar Harbor (we had to switch hotels for availability last minute otherwise we would have stayed at Anne's the whole time). But Robert helping was the best...we'll never forget that act of kindness!

This is a beautiful older inn that’s very well maintained. 2 blocks from Main st, & almost at the Acadia National Park entrance so bikes & hiking are worthwhile! Our room Keewaydin had a lovely spacious private porch off our room. Fantastic breakfast & Bob the owner plays piano out locally, we stopped to see that, which was great! Beautiful grounds too!

Our stay at the White Columns BnB was excellent! Colin, the host that checked us in, was very knowledgeable about the area and exceedingly friendly. He recommended relevant restaurants and pubs and even provided some history while showing us to our room.
Our room did not have a thermostat that we could control and it got fairly stuffy/warm at night. Also, the bed was more firm than I prefer. However, the accommodations on the whole were comfortable.
With the excellent location and friendly service, I’d absolutely stay at here again!

The inn did not seem like a good value for the cost. The rooms are small and there is a tiny common area. The TVs are old and there are no nice touches like fridges in room and robes. We wish we stayed elsewhere. The breakfast was good and they seemed to put a lot of effort into it though we only ate it once during our stay.
