I booked last minute. Service was secind to none from the time we arrived until we checked out. The food was delicious. Server sheryl was amazing.
Only issue is they need a full length mirror in the room.

***Do not stay at this hotel!***
This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Even compared to low-cost budget hotels, the standards and service at this hotel are below standard. I highly recommend seeking an alternative.
Summary of concerns: - changed room reservation to a downgraded smaller room without notice to the customer and no compensation or refund, and free meals which was not compensation for impacting an entire day of travel with small children.
- no common area for guests to gather and eat takeout with friends and other guests, the main area seating is reserved only for accessing their menu, and there is no inclusive gathering space. - no access to an air-conditioned dining room for guests because it was closed on several occasions for private events, leaving paying guests, including those with small children, to sit outside regardless of the temperature.
- staff was extremely slow and did not prioritize correcting errors, they had to be constantly reminded of issues, and to not proactively seek to resolve guest concerns.
- played North American English music (mostly piano jazz or pop songs) in the restaurant, no culturally appropriate or local music, very disappointing approach to erase local community and culture.
- misleading advertising of select renovated rooms, not all rooms are renovated, and even renovated rooms are not what advertised with partial work done. - no consideration for guests, renovation of rooms adjacent to rooms with guests, co

the only thing was wrong is that I was charge for a double room rate,but was told to stay in the same room for that monday night.

The staff was very friendly, especially Naomi at the front desk. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Our driver Brian was excellent. He went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable.

The room is small but extremely clean. Staffs are helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant is great. However, we were on the first floor and it is noisy from the passing vehicles in the night.

Awesome Stay at Grand Coastal. Abena is the best!!! All the staff were friendly and very welcoming!! The Bartender even made my special fruit punch just for me!! Breakfast there was excellent too!! 24hr Coffee Station is a great touch. Room was really nice and clean, loved the bed cover and pillows also but could have given bigger towels. We will be back!!

Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and informative. We were using a wheelchair and the hotel made adjustments to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The food was lovely no complaints & a beautiful little spa unit with all the amenities.

Its my 1st time and the experience was wonderful I will recommended this Hotel to anyone.. My family is staying there right now and I have more family going in November too to stay.. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.. Umadai Umrao (Sandy) was 1 of your best employee/staff who I love and recommend highly.. thanks again and I look forward to staying there again..

The staff provided outstanding service, going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Even when the hotel was fully booked, they creatively found a way to accommodate an extra night’s stay. Additionally, the service team catered excellently to my restrictive diet, crafting delicious meal options. A special thank you to:

This was an awwsome experience at Grand Coastal. As someone who frequently visited and never thought about staying at a hotel, this was such a nice surprise. The hotel had amazing food, great staff and cleaning service, and a small, but really nice pool, that is good for kids to cool down. I cant say enough how this was a perfect alternative to super expensive hotels that are permeating the country. Notably, this hotel is on east coast and not central Georgetown. However, its about a 10 minute drive and for me, it was perfect. There is some noise from the highway, but its not something I would say is a deterrent. The only negative here is the prices of taxi service. The hotel uses their own service and they have a huge markup compared to other services. Getting around Guyana requires using taxis, so just be mindful. Again though, it was an excellent hotel stay. Thanks to the staff for all their help!

-Lack there of pool side towel service, my family of 4 decided to use the pool, and was given only 2 towels, we were told there was only 2 available at that time, but we were the only ones using the pool all day that day.
- poor AC Quality
- tv wasn’t working, every time it was turned off you need tech support to come and get the ‘antenna/ cable’ back into working order.
- again family of 4 was only given 2 towels everytime they refreshed the rooms.
- the idea of not having water in the bathroom from 12am-1am is not a good choice of timing…. Very inconvenient having to wait to take a shower at that time, especially since we were coming back late from our events . Perhaps choose a later time in the day to do this service ??

Layout of room needs improvement. Insufficient lighting. Needs more closet space. Only 2 clothes hangers. Living off suit cases. No luggage racks available. No convienent stores in the immediate area, so you are at the mercy of the hotel for food which was mediocre at best. Pool is smack in front of dining area through which you have to pass to go to and from your room. Nonetheless my stay was a pleasant experience. Thanks to an amazing support staff. Microwave ovens are dirt cheap, so there is no reason why every room cannot be equipped with one.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish excellent service. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I'll liked to thank Tanish,Abina at reception very pleasant always smiles and very attentive doing a great job. Also to the restaurant staff waitresses Tracy and Cheryl they made dinning a pleasant and wonderful experience. Thanks you all for your great hospitality. Will definitely be back and I would recommend anyone to stay at The Grand Coastal Hotel.
