The staff is amazing, warm, polite and always willing to help; this is probably the best aspect of staying there, besides the excellent location and delicious breakfast.

The noise from outside makes absolutely impossible having a comfortable sleep.

It was comfortable and quiet and the staff were amazing. It felt like home in a small peaceful town that gives you that feeling of being home in itself.

This was a quiet, characterful property with very kind hosts, just a few minutes walk from the main square.

I have no faults with the property all all but it’s worth highlighting that the town roads are very rocky, which made rolling a wheeled suitcase very hard!

It was super clean, the staff very friendly, flexible and helpful. Only 3 minutes away from the square.

During breakfast they take your order at the table and although it was delicious and more than enough, I am more a breakfast buffet person. But this is personal preference and has nothing to do with the quality! Cause it was fresh and very good!

The staff was so kind and attentive from our arrival until we left. The breakfast was also delicious, like staying at a family members home. The hotel was like an old colonial house, very charming.

Everything was great. The location was central, though wheeling a heavy suitcase from the bus terminal was very difficult on the cobblestones and gravel. One staff member (owner?) carried my suitcase all the way to the bus terminal when I left. The room was comfortable as was the bed. Everything was clean and in working order. The included breakfast was delicious. Ortilia was amazing at helping me find a good driver for the day (José) and making a hotel reservation in another city. Otilia was so sweet and a joy to have contact with. My stay in Villa de Leyva was even more pleasant because of her friendliness and help.

I liked everything! It was, however, a bit over my budget as a solo traveler.

The term "feels like home" is often thrown around, but at this hotel it's thoroughly deserved. The family which owns this hotel are exceptionally friendly, kind, and genuine people who were fun to speak to and extremely helpful in finding a driver for nearby sights and transit to other locations. The room was spotless, with an oddly impressive two-storey tall bathroom with a skylight. In a town with lots of loud bars, restaurants and crowds, this hotel being in a quiet area is a major plus, especially on weekends, where guests at some of the more central hotels likely struggle to sleep.

So I enjoyed my time here and would recommend this location. That said, the host family speaks limited English, though this is also not unusual for Colombia, even in a tourist town like Villa de Leyva. Also, while the room was spotless, it was slightly small overall. As a single traveler, this was not a problem for me. For visiting couples, however, there may not be too much space in the smaller rooms.

The style of the hotel was very cute and typical. The room was a bit small, but the bed was huge and só comfy. The staff was really friendly, and when it was pouring rain outside they offered us an umbrella. breakfast was delicious with fresh juice, fruit, eggs, bread and coffee. The town square was 5 minute walking distance, through really beautiful streets.
