It was an okay stay. Nothing to really brag about. The checking in process is a little odd. There is about 20 steps leading up to the check-in lobby area. There is also an elevator underneath the building in the parking garage which is more for Diamond Elite Members. Have to ring bell for staff members as they are in the back. Staff members ere not outgoing/friendly when checking in. Check out staff member was much better. The breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast. Didn’t have any boiled eggs while I was there. The beds were comfortable, but take your own pillow. The pillows look fluffy but go flat when you put your head on them.

The room had mold in the bathroom. My kiddos were in the bathtub taking a bath and i saw the mold. Is nasty and unhealthy.

The staff was fantastic. I had to have the property upgrade me as I booked a balcony room and was out in a regular room. They were more than accommodating. The cleaning staff really needs to do better. The toilet was dirty, old paper and can’t wrappers underneath the foot rest under the table. Cigarette butts all over the balcony railing. I understand the hotel is old but some upgrades need to be made. Utilities doors should be shut during the day so guests don’t have to see the dirty linens and messy rooms the staff uses. The staff literally made this stay worth it for us!

This was okay for a one night stay, but its pretfy dated, however the location was perfect and the breakfast was pretty good.

Fantastic location

Highly accessible. Tired property. Carpets cleaned that day and were wet the when we checked in....all of the hotel was cleaned on the same day. AC was very noisy.

Area of town

Right in town. Walk to everywhere. The facilities need a tune up. Carpet is deeply stained. Bathroom facilities getting dated. Staff great. Breakfast fine.

Good location. Needs paint and cleaning and carpet. Surprised it’s called a Hampton Inn

The property was located close to the center of town easy in and out.

Plus: big rooms, suitable for families up to 4, easy parking, walking distance to restaurants downtown, laundry room, good beds, refrigerator, usb chargers, coffee to go at reception. Minus: room needed a rehab, hooks loose / fell down from wall, no change of towels, breakfast below medium standard, impossible to reach reception on email or telephone in advance, expencive, did not accept corporate price.

A hidden gem, as with just about all the buildings in Helen Georgia it looks old from outside. Inside our room was incredible. Clean, modern, comfortable and great breakfast. All the staff were very friendly especially the front desk.

Love having access to the Chattahoochee river

Someone from corporate needs to spend some time at this location. The carpet, halls, stairways, elevator, front lobby and outside of the building need a thorough cleaning or in some cases just need to be updated. The breakfast was good and the staff worked hard to keep that area clean and well stocked. .

This hotel, like many of the hotels in Helen, needs an updating. Doesn’t feel like a Hilton, except the pillows, the pillows are always a treat. The washing/drying machines need to be replaced, they should be $1 instead of $2 for their condition and slow results. The rooms should be checked for freshness before guests are allowed in because all our linens smelled damp and old like a thrift store. The carpet could be replaced too. Bring your slippers of course. The staff was polite and they replaced our blanket when we called and asked, I personally washed our pillow cases but could e asked for fresh ones, the staff was accommodating. The breakfast was good, they let you borrow pool towels. The walk to the creek is wonderful! The kids can splash in the water and watch the tubers go by. The location is very walkable and we felt safe.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! The “wonderful” rating is why I booked this location. And there is absolutely NOTHING wonderful about this property at all. First of all good luck even finding how to enter the building! Then when you find the elevator, it’s dark no lights inside the parking garage. Trash everywhere. Employees sitting next to elevator smoking, smells awful. Then you get in the elevator that you’ve been waiting 10min for because there is just 1. Used for guests and employees. It smells like death. And then just when you think it can’t get any worse the not so pleasent looking young man at the front desk, to whom also was BAREFOOT abruptly asked “CHECKING IN?!” Not one ounce of customer service in him. I booked 2 rooms, our rooms were not together but in the same floor. And this whole vacation was for my 13 year olds birthday. Then we made our way upstairs our room was on the 3rd floor. The smell of mold in the hallway was so strong. Right there I should have turned around and walked out right then. But no, my Son was loving being right on the River and there were no other hotel options available. Our room smelled like cigarettes. Floor was disgusting and your feet stuck to it. I had to lay towels down on the floor because I didn’t want to wear my shoes 24/7. The beds were like sleeping on plywood. Outdated furniture. No decor, bathroom mirror frame was stained with drip marks of some kind. The fridge didn’t work. Phone didn’t work, Horrible experience.

Wonderful experience, peaceful, laid back, enjoyable place to visit.

The property need upgrade, the bathroom wasn’t too clean.

Not in the best of shape for a Hampton, but it was still nice, considering how much abuse properties get in Helen from all the tourists. Nice grounds with a river view, and a great walkable location in the heart of Helen. Definitely will stay here again.

The hotel is very dated and not well maintained. Considering this, the price was ridiculously high. The only plus was the location.

The hotel was in a great location that allowed us to leave our car and walk to everything. The staff was friendly and the room was clean.
