We had to come into town for a family event. We enjoyed our stay. It was close to everything and we could walk. Easy to located and find parking.

Property Manager was great and helpful. I would say that the property has great "bones" and terrific potential. However, it definitely fell short of the pictures in the listing. The property appears to be a fairly new rental and it needs some attention. Refinishing the floors and addressing the old (and in some cases) broken windows, would kick this property up to a 5 star.

My experience with VRBO and this host was terrible. The property shown is not the whole house. The actual address of the HOUSE is different from the property listing. It is not clear from the pictures that other guests could be there.. I checked in after dark and the address on the house from the street is wrong. There is no way from the street by day or night (overgrown bushes obscure the "Green door" in the picture from being seen.. After driving around the neighborhood for some time I took a chance in the dark and walked the 20+ stairs through the bushes to find the door. There was no parking on the street and the garages are too small for most vehicles. There were cars parked in the back alley where the host suggested we carry things in to avoid the stairs. Trash cans and construction materials were on the side of the house. I had difficulty after finally determining we were in the right place locating my email with my code and reached out via VRBO messaging and VRBO chat with support to get the code to get in. I even rang the Ring doorbell - but could not find the code. After nearly 2 hours from being mapped to the location, I let the VRBO chat person know we were giving up. I couldn't get in. Next morning Host asked "did we find it" and I relayed this story - we had made other arrangements as I had 4 people coming into town - VRBO policy is because she sent me that email with the code and I was able to locate the property no refund . Bad experience all around.

I needed a home for two weeks and I really enjoyed staying at Megan's. It was super clean with great amenities. I was a little worried with the parking on the street, but I had no problems and I always felt safe. I stayed with my dog and she loved walking in the park just a block away! If you need a place to stay that is conveniently located to downtown Birmingham as well as Mountain Brook, Homewood, and Vestavia, this is your place!

Megan the host was able to accommodate my family of 8 last minute due to a prior rental double booking my reservation. Megan is a very responsive host and a good communicator. We did have a couple little issues that she quickly resolved within hours of being notified. The location was close to everything we needed for the wedding weekend which took place in Mountain Brook and Crestline area. Street Parking was no issue. Just to note there a bunch of stairs leading to the front door which could be a potential issue for eldery/mobility Sise guests but, both my parents did fine and used the hand rails. There is a back area to drive up to make dropping off luggage easier but, we didn’t need that. WiFi worked great as well.

We could not stay at this property and owner refused to reimburse. This property needs to be removed from site. It’s unsafe and a real hazard. Needs a building inspector-Obviously poor customer service too!!! No curtains (a few in bedroom, but not enough to cover a window), fire hazard- liability with windows painted shut and electricity running from street by electric cord, sewage smell will knock you out, stains on bedding, and outdoor bug catcher lights in the interior of home. (Full of bugs) Owner never called to discuss !! Don’t be scammed!!! Do not STAY.
