Sagarika ist eine ganz besondere Unterkunft, in einer großen Villa der Eigentümer gibt es Ferienapartments oder Zimmer direkt am Pool, der riesige Garten führt direkt zum Strand, der Empfang ist sehr herzlich und es gibt ein super Frühstück, Sagarika spricht gut deutsch und hilft Fahrer für TukTuk und Transfer zu finden. Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, das das Wasser aus der Leitung trinkbar ist und extra darauf hingewiesen wird Plastik zu vermeiden.

Wir hatten ein Apartment im Garten, welches schön und gepflegt war. Monica die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, vermittelt gerne Tuktuk-Fahrer oder auch Ausflüge mit seriösen Einheimischen. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und grenzt direkt an den öffentlichen Strand an, der in der Hauptsaison auch gereinigt wird.

Die Lage ist zwischen Bentota und Beruwala, sodass man IMMER ein TukTuk benötigt, zumal die Zuwege in der Regenzeit so geflutet waren, dass man zu Fuß im Dunkeln keine Chance hat. Alles andere war aber fein.

Authentic family run hotel on the beach with practically your own private pool.

Amazing value for money. Clean, comfy, great breakfast, very spacious rooms, balconies, I had too much choice as to where to do my yoga practices! Four towels in case you shower a lot ;) Very easy check-in and communication, it’s a family run property and the main host Sagarita is just the sweetest person, really going out of her way for you to make your stay an out of this world experience. I felt very cocooned and in the same time enjoyed my privacy, but Sagarita is always available to help, which makes things easy (from ordering a Tuk-Tuk to take-away and so much more, fluent English and even speaks German) Amazing sea and garden views, the long sandy beach borders at the property’s garden! Pool is lovely to cool off in late afternoon and you are surrounded by tropical birds including peacocks. Speedy fibre Wifi in case you need to get stuff done (just in top room you might not have access, I just used my Sri Lankan phone data.) Everywhere else WiFi is super fast, the apartments are amazing as well, for solo travelers, couples or even a small family. When you snooze off at night lying in the large comfortable beds you hear the sound of the ocean.. what a magical place.

Everything was fabulous, really.

It was our second visit to Sagarika. We love the location on the beach and being able to walk along the beach to restaurants serving great value meals including local fresh fish. The family who own and run the hotel are very friendly and helpful and make everyone very welcome. Breakfasts are delicious and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel garden attracts many local birds including peacocks which are great to see. A lovely place to stay in a sunny safe and friendly country that really needs more tourists. Highly recommend.

Not a criticism of the property of course, but mosquitoes are always about in the evening so mosquito nets and deterrents are needed.

we have stayed here before and it is one of my favourite hotels and locations in Sri Lanka. This is a l great hotel leading onto a fantastic stretch of beach. the beach is shallow into the sea making it safer to swim than many parts of Sri Lanka . we stayed in the penthouse which is a large apartment with a massive terrace on three sides visited by peacocks and numerous colourful birds. Monika the owner is fantastic, arranging transport and recommending great places to eat.. Breakfast was whatever we requested. loungers and towels were provided together with a well maintained pool but we mostly went to the lovely cinnamon cafe nearby right on the beach which was a great place to chill.

Easy access to beach but slightly back from it made it feel very private. Very nice first floor terrace overlooking the garden where breakfast was served. Manageress very welcoming and pleasant. Beach , north of Bentota, easy calm swimming and good hard sand for walking.

Lighting in the room not good enough to read by and Wi-fi access a bit hit and miss.

Firstly the owner is so friendly and helpful could not do enough for you.room very big with comfortable bed clean
