It was scam to fool people coming to that beautiful city. it was not at all the way they showed or described that was totally different and in some old scary basement smelling foul. It was horrible.

Arrived and there was no toilet roll in toilet and the bin hadn’t been emptied after the previous occupants

On arrival, I spent an hour and a half in reception over a dispute where they were claiming that my booking was in a different name despite me showing them all of my proof that it was in my name then would not let me go to the room without paying an extra £25 charge Because they said it was booked in another name which is simply not true. The people in front of me also having a big dispute over extra charges and we were all at the reception. Somebody came out of the room. They just checked into saying there was broken glass on the floor and urine in the toilet. !!

Check in overall was really difficult, didn’t know where to go and instructions for the hotel were unclear.
Hotel is really clean and beds are pretty comfortable.

It was dated, in need of serious repair work, the check in experience is not straight forward and I got charged more that I expected.
Fire alarm nearly falling down from the ceiling, one window would not stay open, stains in the carpet, smelly, old, towels missing, extra bed not done up, TV signal was too weak to be able to see any channels
Only stayed one night as bed was so uncomfortable, with springs hurting all night long. The worse ever

What we booked was a twin room, with a private bathroom. What we got was a double room, with a bathroom shared with the staff. The gentleman who checked us in (he was very nice and was kind enough to check us in early - no complaints about him!) even admitted it hadn't been cleaned yet. We had checked in early so understood. However, when we got back in the evening, the room was still not clean and the bed spread was damp from the room! The 'shared' bathroom had a poop left in it.
Honestly, what I'm most annoyed about is the price we paid. it was not worth £100 for the night. Would not stay again.

I liked theLocation, public transportation, beach, restaurants, pubs and shopping.
What I didn't like was the lack of customer services, poor management, room was filthy, woken at 9am with a ceiling leak from shower above us and we were soaked, the water was literally pouring through the cceiling, contact the emergency number and the response was okay. No one showed up to investigate or to see how there customers were and to top it of I was looking for the room key and discovered a dead mouse under my bed along with some other furry stuff. NOT HAPPY AT ALL...

I had issues with checking in, but the staff helped me when I arrived at the hotel. The room wasn't as big as I expected and there was a compartment within the room that was the bathroom. There wasn't a balcony and, despite been at the back of the hotel, there was lots of noise which didn't allow us to sleep. The bathroom/compartment wasn't clean and we heard noises from there too.
The staff was rather friendly and tried to make our visit as pleasant as it could be.

Very quirky room and I loved it. My room was at the front so I had a little balcony that I relaxed on looking out over the square and sea. Great mattress and hot shower.

I would like to submit a review but unfortunately 30 minutes before I was going to drive over I was contacted on WhatsApp where a discussion for extra payment and wanted my bank details and 10 minutes later my cancellation had been terminated by the hotel X I have photograph evidence and a time log And I'm chasing full refund if someone from Expedia could contact me on my contact details as I am severely dyslexic so that we can proceed with the ifs buts and why and some explanation which left me stranded at around 8:00 Thursday evening makes me wonder whether there is an actual hotel or whether it's just some type of scam Please contact me so we can resolve this situation not very good for Expedia let alone X Hotel the name says it all

Nice enough building and room. Clean bedding and bathroom, kettle provided. The guy who checked me in (Timi?) was really friendly.
However, they charge you a deposit that is not listed on the website and the whatsapp message and repeated late night calls make it sound like a scam.
I received a whatsapp message at 9.30pm the day before checking in telling me to click a link and either give £100 deposit that would be refunded within two weeks or pay £3 deposit that's not refundable. This should already be included within the room price!
Even though I contacted hotels.com and they confirmed I had no outstanding charges on my booking, I still had to pay the unmentioned deposit or I would have lost the booking and all the money I paid.
Very dishonest and scammy. The managers at X hotels have some things to answer for and it's made me question hotels.com as a whole as well, for a) allowing dodgy business like this on their platform, and b) being thoroughly unwilling to help customers when they have issues as a result of what is essentially false advertising

We were unable to check in as with other customers.Due to unmanned check in and no one answering the contact number provided. Contacted Expedia and they were also unable to contact hotel check in department.Still awaiting response and refund. Ruined our holiday
