Lovely hotel, parking available. Staff was friendly. The room was a little dated, the toiletries looked like they had been out and not freshened up from the last guest. The terrace was not wiped down outside my room. The beach club was nice.

Note to future guests: although the name of the hotel says Portofino Coast, this is no where near Portofino. It is a 20 min car ride to Portofino, and if you go by taxi, the flat rate is €52 EACH WAY!

We had a wonderful stay and amazed by the views and locations. Hotel staff provided excellent service.

TERRIBLE experience!! This hotel is NOT at all a five star property!! It hasn't been redecorated, renovated or updated in any way since the early 80's. There was rarely hot water, the hallways smelled musty and old, and the food was TERRIBLE and ridiculously over priced. The front desk staff was incredibly unfriendly and had no interest in helping us in any way. We've traveled to Italy multiple times over the last 20 years and this was the worst experience I've ever had! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!

We come every year during the summer and it is a truly special place for us. The staff are all great and very warm and welcoming.

Great location and very good facilities; nice stagg provisions very good service. Only small area for improvement would be AC in the gym (which was very well equipped with modern TechnoGym equipment).

This was one of the best hotels I have ever experienced. There are two pools, both kids friendly which I really liked, and an access to the sea water which was just perfectly shallow and calm. Staffs were extremely courteous and responsive. Thank you.

The stay overall was great. The breakfast was nice and the dinner also. I would say that for a five star the hotel is very dated especially where the hotel rooms are, it’s definitely in need of refurbishment. I also find it odd that they do not use fresh fruits for fruit juice like orange, which there is in abundance in Italy. The hotel is in a fantastic location with spectacular views, it just needs some improvement.

I had a truly wonderful time! The location is fantastic, the premises are superb (great restaurants and bar, private sea access, impeccable maintenance) and the staff are amazing. If I wanted to be nit picking, I would only observe that bathrooms might benefit from an upgrade to today’s standards.

Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a nice corner seaview room with views of the sea and city view of Rapallo. Giacomo, at reception was very helpful and made us a dinner reservation. The beach lounge and pool area is amazing. Definitely coming back soon!

The only reason I’m writing this review is because of Angelo the head concierge. He was excellent and the only genuine asset of this property. This was our third visit to the hotel, admittedly it’s been ten years since our last visit. The general manager is either under immense financial strain or has no dignity. The hotel would struggle to gain a three star status how they have a five star status is beyond belief. Please refrain from staying at this hotel unless you like being ripped off from the highest level. The bathrooms in our “ deluxe room “ were from the ninety eighties at best. The food was very expensive for the quality of produce and the surroundings. Never felt more cheated by a hotel in twenty years of frequently travelling.

The property was beautiful, no question. The hotel was unique and overall the staff was helpful. Gym was excellent. Breakfast … perfect. My rating however is that it didn’t meet 5 stars or the price level for any reason other than its beach and the points already mentioned. Pools were beautiful… but freezing to the point that it was painful after 15minutes. Spas smelled of seawater Gym doesn’t open until 8 when most of us would like to head to breakfast and start our day. moat importantly, the service was there when you needed it but often only gave you some of the information you needed, for example only at the end knowing about some of the other amenities available onsite or the remote code needed to turn the tv on in the room. These may be petty but there were many examples and all of which meant we enjoyed our stay on this beautiful place but it wasn’t a 5 star experience.
