If you want old world with modern comfort, this is the hotel. The staff is friendly, the rooms updated and comfortable, close to everything, and just all around amazing. We have stayed here in the past and each time we go back to Salzburg, it is our go to hotel. Everything is perfect. You feel as if you are stepping back in time to the late 19th early 20th century. It is pricey, but we look at is as treating ourselves and are never disappointed.

Great hotel and location. Arrived Monday evening. We walked around and most city restaurants were closed. The hotel should have advised us to make a reservation at their restaurant. We advised that we were hotel guests. We waited and were seated and food was delicious.

We have been traveling for 3 weeks7 different properties, all 5 star and this hotel is awesom.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in… everything from the location to cleanliness to room just everything is perfect!!!

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. In excellent condition with large modern bathrooms. Service was good except in the cafe and grill. Avoid those at all costs. Service in cafe and grill were shockingly bad and when we complained, they seemed very unfazed and offered us a free coffee in the cafe. We did not accept. Waited over an hour for our lunch food in the grill to be told they never put the order in (it took us an hour before we managed to catch the attention of any waiter, and no one checked on our table in that hour). Went to the cafe for breakfast at 8:15 to be told it was not open yet. It’s suppose to open at 8am. Tried the next day and left after 15 minutes since no one acknowledged us. Luckily staff at breakfast buffet was delightful and good. Luckily there is an abundance of delicious and reasonable places to eat near by.

This property is gorgeous. We got connecting rooms for our family which worked out perfectly. It’s clean and the architecture is breathtaking. The staff are super friendly. Special shout out to Sahar for being so attentive and helpful with dining options and daily activities. We loved our breakfast at the Sacher hotel. The food, coffee and pastries were all A .

I would have given this hotel an overall excellent rating and highly recommended it. We had a wonderful stay and the staff was incredibly helpful. However, we were told at check in that breakfast was included and each morning told that breakfast was included with our stay. Upon check out, we were charged nearly 600 euros for breakfast. When we called to rectify the situation, the hotel manager said that she would check with the breakfast manager and call me back. I never received a return call and the charge was not reversed. My memory of our stay went from very favorable to very disappointed.

I've been to some famous hotels in Europe, but this is really the best hotel among them.
If you travel to Austria, please stay at Zaher Hotel. It's not a cheap price, but it will be a choice without regrets.
