The people at the front were extremely nice and helpful. The second we walked in our room we said "Wow" it was perfect. Nicely decorated, definite "beachy" feel. We did upgrade to ocean view. Very worth it. Wish we could have stayed longer but next time we're there, we will be staying at Cottage Inn By The Sea.

We were only there one night in Mid October. The room was nice with a fire place. It was clean and the bed comfortable. Very large room with a TV and the water pressure from the shower was amazing. There is no ventilation or exhaust fan in the bathroom so you could see that the ceiling had mold that they have been dealing with due to condensation, the top lock to the back door was broken, and you could see where the dead bolt had been broken before, but it locked ok. If I had been a alone I would have requested a different room. Concerning the amenities, one of the fire pits did not work at all, the gates to the hot tub and pool were broken and the no keys would work so they had strings hanging to open them. Parts of the hot tub ledge and tiles were cracked and missing, and the jets did not work at all. The heated pool was barely heated if at all. The hotel is older and the roofs have been replaced with shingles that look horrible and do not match the architecturaldesign of the building, but there were no leaks that I could tell. The grounds were beautiful and the views amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful if I had any questions, and the property was very clean. I paid less that 150 for the night so for the location and everything, it was a good deal for a last minute room.

Gorgeous area, right off the beach was a big selling point for me. Definitely will consider this place again for the future. Room was amazing and nothing that i was expecting it to be. Although i didn't utilize them, the fire pits were a great touch with a great view.

Overall good experience but miss represented outdoor patio. 2 chairs outside of the room does not mean patio. Children running up and down unsupervised and loud talking after midnight in common area. Ceiling fan blades were very dusty and area around the fireplace had cobwebs.

Hotel has a great location, nice room, clean and comfortable. No free breakfast offered, room cleaning by order 24 hrs in advance.

This is a charming little gem right on pismo beach. We travelled from Canada to San Francisco and it was our half way stop to LA Hotel was comfortable and our ocean view was worth upgrading. We slept with the Windows open to the sound of the ocean waves. Loved the fire pits and very casual and comfortable surroundings. We loved our stay. Left my phone charger in the hotel and the staff put it aside for me to pick up on our way back! Thankyou! Great place! Highly recommend!

Great stay & friendly staff

Liked the property and rooms, clean, comfy and good sized rooms. However it’s very noisy and loud at night with passing cars on 101 and the street nearby. There’s No AC in the room and leaving the windows open make it kind of hard to sleep.

I particularly liked the closeness to the beach and fire place in the room.

Stayed two nights and it was awesome. Can’t wait to go back.

Rooms dont have AC but it was fun. I believe ppl who get rooms on the second floor should be considerably respect that theres ppl one the first floor and should not let their kids run. Kids didnt let us sleep since they were running back and forth. Other than that everything was perfect
