This hotel has a great view and a nice breakfast, however the beds are terribly soft and you end up sleeping with your head "downhill". Unfortunately the pillows are thin, and even with an extra pillow, (only 1 extra pillow although it was a double room) we slept on a slope. We did our best to prop up the pillows with our own clothes underneath them. It did not make for a good nights sleep. We would need at least 3 pillows each by default to get our heads in a normal position. To be fair we did not ask for extra pillows as it would be too embarrassing to ask for that many pillows. I am sure they would have remedied the situation. Ideally they could just provide firm pillows as a default. Surely they must be aware of the soft beds. In summary, if you don't mind sleeping downhill, or don't mind to ask for some extra pillows this hotel is great because of the stunning views.

Amazing hotel with a great view over the valley. We had a family room which was basically a nice apartment with a bedroom and living room with kitchenette. Free parking. Good breakfast a little conditioned by corona but everything indivually packed. The only problem for us was that we only stayed one night. We will certainly come back to this hotel if we come back to this area.

Easy check in, code for door arrived as a text message. Room nice and clean and plenty of coffee and tea. Breakfast was awesome and we had a great view from our table.

We booked a family room which turned out to be an excellent arrangement. A large separate bedroom with double bed for us and a sofa bed for the kids in the lounge area. The lounge area included a small kitchen to make our own snacks (useful, as eating out can be pricy in Norway). The hotel lobby was very well laid out, comfortable and had a welcoming atmosphere. All of the staff were more than wiling to help and arranged for the museum on site to be opened specially for us. Food was excellent with locally sourced produce at a reasonable price (cheaper to eat in the hotel than elsewhere), with food suitable for adults and children. The view down the valley was amazing and every room has a balcony with a valley view. We will definitely be returning here.
