We traveled through from MD. The hotel is in a convenient location. The room was nice. Hotel had a nice bar and restaurant. Prices were good. Staff was ok. I have complaints and will not stay again. The hotel had a very strong odor. Smelled strong of Glad products. Rust in the bathroom. Staff and hotel owner talked to much of their personal business while we were trying to relax in the restaurant area. We ran out of toilet paper in the night. It was ridiculous.

Excellent service. Have stayed here several times. Will return right before Christmas - the entire hotel is beautifully decorated! Many shops & restaurants within walking distance.

Love that there is a restaurant in the hotel. Our room was good enough. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom could use some updating. An improvement would be to have USB outlets that don’t require a block but not a deal breaker. This will be our favorite hotel when visiting Effingham.

Excellent place to stay! Room were great and clean. Great bar area with service to beer and cocktails with Bartender. Restaurant on site. Great roomy lobby. Can walk to other restaurants in the area and Walmart. Plus 2min off expressway. Highly recommend

Room appeared clean but had an odd smell. I asked for an air purifier shortly after arriving but it was never delivered to the room. The TV remote batteries were dead and that was delivered within 30 minutes. The hairdryer also needed to be replaced-barely accomplished the job.
Breakfast was a purchase item and not complimentary and the meal was just ok.
Check in staff and waitress were both very nice.
Hotel close to I55 and easy to find and accessible to local Walmart and other restaurant options if needed.

Overpriced but that seems to be a theme with the town itself. Room was very clean, bed was quite comfortable, and the shower had nice water pressure. That's all I really require for a short hotel stay.

I paid for a room with a sofa bed, but it would not open up, it was actually rigged in a way that prevented us from opening. After driving many hours, it was unfortunate that we all did not have a bed. The worst part was that we had no hot water. The woman who worked there did not care. Honestly, it was a very clean hotel, but we could not get our basic needs met.

Very clean, but definitely could use some updates. Our coffee maker in the room didn’t work but we were able to get some in the lobby. Grateful for the convenience of a suite with a pull out bed for a family of 4 with one Tasmanian devil who will kick the stuffing out of anyone in the bed with her.

Roaches in the room, and mold on the ceiling. We generally stay a holiday inns and unfortunately this one was a disappointment.

The Jacuzzi tub didn’t work in my room,
The seal in the bathroom shower around the handle was falling out.

This was another unpleasant holiday inn experience. They have gone down hill and are run down. My room was ok. The sheets swelled old and not fresh at all. There was damage apparent to the doors and bathroom was in serious distress.
