Dinner was superb, pre ordered breakfast was ok, needs choice of fruit/yogurt, choice of eggs with cooked option,

This was outside stay having loved our previous visit 2 years ago. The biggest issue was the parking - the extension to the beer garden has taken half the car park. It meant we spent ages trying to find somewhere to park, as all the pay and displays were rammed full. The hotel itself is lovely, albeit it could do with a bit of a refurb in the bathrooms. The water pressure was non existent. The food is lovely and selection of beers in the bar great. I do love this place, but the parking has put me off a bit

Very welcoming on arrival, they offered a free upgrade as we were staying 3 night's. The room was clean and spacious and included a welcome gift of homemade biscuits which was a nice touch. Breakfast very generous. Would definitely recommend

Excellent check in service and fantastic room only let down by the breakfast. Cereals were out of date, croissants cold in the middle but hot in the outside and orange juice was just coloured water and sugar.

Lovely rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Nice touch with the cookies and cafetiere. Very comfortable nights sleep. Staff very friendly. Food was excellent. Would return.

Made very welcome. Room comfortable for a short stay. Its an old building so steepish stairs.

We have stayed at the Duke william several times, the food is fabulous, the staff are friendly, we love the location, the reason we haven't given it 5stars is that the toilet seat in the bathroom was loose and quite dangerous this was not something that had just happened, we were amazed that the cleaner didn't flag this whilst she cleaned the room it could have resulted in an accident.

Really nice hotel in the old part of the city. Near the cathedral and castle. Approx 25 mins walk from the train station, but uphill along Steep Hill.
Room comfortable with large double bed. Good quality toiletries provided. Breakfast was not buffet style. You had to order the night before. Choice was a bit limited. Cereal choice was bran flakes or cornflakes, no muesli or granola or fresh fruit or yoghurt. However I asked if they could provide muesli fruit and yoghurt and they did and it was good, particularly the fresh fruit salad, delicious. Disappointed with the toast with the cooked breakfast as it was white sliced! No offer of brown or granary etc.
Have had better breakfast elsewhere.

This is an excellent place, even if a little understaffed on this particular visit. Those there still trying hard, and a lovely little pub with rooms.
