The hotel is conveniently located close to Hamburg Airport and city centre. Carpark was easily accessible. Excellent choice for families and business travellers.

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Hamburg was a major disappointment. First off, the cleanliness of the hotel was unacceptable. My room was dirty, with visible stains and dust that made me question whether it had even been properly cleaned.
To add to the frustration, the manager I encountered was not only rude but also exhibited racist behavior. Instead of resolving my concerns, they were dismissive and condescending, which only made the situation worse.
I was promised a refund for my troubles, but after following up, the management flat-out refused to honor that commitment. It feels incredibly dishonest and unprofessional.
On top of all this, the internet connection was painfully slow, making it difficult to get any work done.
Overall, my experience at Holiday Inn Hamburg was far from satisfactory. I would not recommend staying here—there are much better options available!

I liked the location to the places I needed to go. Also the quietness for sleep.
The shower where to me too slippery-thank goodness for the instilled holds. The sink had the turning of the ater quite in awful location to use.

The staff were helpful giving directions. The breakfast was good. The area had limited restaurants and there was nothing to see as it was a business district. I chose it as it was marginally cheaper than other places that didn’t have gym facilities, it had promised a spa but that wasn’t functional, locked with promise of repair.

We liked the setup at the hotel. It looks really nice. It was set up for the guests to watch the Eurocup match.
The only thing we didn't like is the driveway into the hotel is oddly setup and easy to miss. But that is minor. I would put up some better signs.

It's the usual story. Everything that might be fine with the accommodation is completely ruined by the horrible staff. The check-in was already very stressful. It is assumed that you know the hotel's internal terms and work processes, but the other way around is not welcomed if the guest has demands. Every piece of information, no matter how tiny, has to be extracted from the staff one by one. The worst part was the check-out. I have rarely seen such a lack of motivation. No greeting for the morning, no farewell words, just - without looking up - an annoyed: "Key in there". I had to be very persistent to get a bill. Sorry guys, if you don't like the job, just look for something else and save the guests from your bad mood !

My room had a very nice overview of the park and the Hamburg area. First thing that I did after dropping off my bags at the room was to take a walk through the park, there is also a Planetarium located in this park that I did not get around to visiting - next time. The S-train stops are a short walk away and run very frequently, there's also a bus stop 5min walk away just around the corner from the hotel - this way you can plan your journey together via S-train and bus and have a shorter walk compared to walking all the way from any of the two the S-train stations.
