This is a very comfortable property in the main part of this small town. It seems that the owner made a recent and very considerable investment to update the rooms and the results are outstanding. The room was spotless and very comfortable. They have a contactless check in procedure and it worked flawlessly. Would recommend.

Super cute and quaint place to stay. Customer service was great. Downside was the bathroom was really tiny with no tub for my 5 year old, but that wasn’t a dealbreaker.

Cute little retro motel with a lot of personal touches. A handwritten note.. a text from the hotel to make sure everything was ok and asking if we needed anything. The aroma 360 in the room was also a nice touch. The inn was walking distance from everything. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

We were pleasantly surprised at the this remodeled motel, that has been in Southport since the 50's. Beautifully decorated, very pleasant stay.

Great refurbished old school motel. Room was clean and comfortable. Customer Service was spot on. Rebecca was a true pleasure and very helpful with restaurant referrals and things to do in the area. Already booked another stay!!

The Inn at Southport is a great little motel well situated in historic downtown Southport. Shops, restaurants and waterfront are all within walking distance. The marina to catch a ferry to Bald Head Island was only a few short miles. The motel was exceptionally clean and smelled wonderful! The staff was extraordinary, checking in with us via text to see if we needed anything. It was such a personal touch you don't get with big hotels. Every night they had a mini "bon-file" going, which is perfect for roasting marshmallows! The traffic was a bit noisy at night, but we took an extra white noise maker which blocked out most of the traffic sounds. We would totally stay here again, and it's perfect for a short weekend stay or a longer visit if coming to one of the fun festivals! Nice visit and motel stay all the way around!

The room was tidy, but not clean. There was dust and mold on the baseboards. The room didn’t feel finished. There were screws and an electrical box, where the light had been removed above the bathroom sink, that should have been spackled before painting. The bed was hard, but comfy. However, one bed squeaked like the frame was broken every time my husband rolled over. There was very little water pressure. It took forever for the water to get hot in the shower, and it only stayed hot for about 5 minutes. By the time my husband finished with his shower, it was ice cold. I would not stay here again, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

A good value for $39.79 per night. Unfortunately, the rate was much higher. I think they should remove the mold from the shower.

Cutest place to stay in Southport. Wonderful staff and location. So close to everything. We come in by boat and rent a golf cart from Coastal which is right next door.

Not many hotels in this area making this place somewhat of an unfortunate limited option. The rooms and grounds are dated and dirty, bathroom and shower were very small and moldy, and large carpenter ants everywhere outside of the room. That being said, check in was easy and staff was attentive and communicated well. Sadly, there just aren’t many other options in Southport so will probably be forced to stay here again during an annual business trip. The place is in need of a complete overhaul and update.

We had a great time here! The room was nice and clean. Beds were cozy. Room smelled good. Little touches I liked were cute coffee mugs, Keurig, and coffee pot. Great location, easy walk to restaurants and stores. Staff was so friendly, helpful, and ready to give us whatever we needed! Would definitely stay here again!

Staff was friendly and location is fantastic. However, bathroom was tiny and shower was disgusting. Bathroom sink cabinet was pulling away from the wall. They need to update the bathrooms. We didn’t shower there but went to a friend’s house to shower because shower was tiny and gross. But love the vintage motel vibe and place is passable if you don’t care about the bathroom!
