Overall we felt for what we paid for our two night stay we expected more. We were in room 4, billed as a premium double, which is directly above the pub lounge so very noisy. Anyone with a hearty appetite might be satisfied with the menu as the meals are plentiful but we found the food lacking in quality. The whole building would benefit from a deep clean and I would suggest the carpets be replaced or even removed.

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful place The George is to stay. It was nice a peaceful, with a nice comfy, clean room. And as for the breakfast!! Well we didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day! In the 3 nights we spent there, we had dinner twice and the food and service were fabulous. The staff were all very courteous. Thank you all for making our stay so perfect.

Friendly, very helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Clean and tidy room and good size bathroom. Excellent breakfasts. Thankyou for another very enjoyable stay.

Room was bigger than expected and really clean. Shower was great. Breakfasts were extremely good value for money. They were delicious, and served by smiling, helpful staff. Biscuits, coffee etc. available in the room . Our room was on the third floor with no lift, but stairs to lug suitcases up.

Best location in West Bay. Views of the harbour and sea. Accommodation is lovely, and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great.

Had a lovely stay at The George. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Stayed for two nights, food was excellent both breakfast and dinner.

Great pub with rooms, excellent breakfast with large choice. Close to local fish and chip kiosks, some lovely restaurants close by as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. The beach is close and the South West coastal path for some lovely walks. Unfortunately the path going east is closed due to erosion.

Welcoming staff & owner. Good menu selection for our evening meal there. Right next to harbour and our room had sea views. Amazing breakfast - so much choice and loads. Even a residents car park. Would go back again.

Very pleasant hotel. Staff very friendly. Room was ok, but lacking in lighting, hooks to hang clothes, towels. The room was a little cold and damp when we arrived, but they immediately supplied an additional heater which made all the difference.We were out of season, so maybe they were not fully prepared. Would still recommend though.

Very conveniently located hotel with large rooms and excellent updated shower and bathroom.
Food was top notch - superb homemade fish pie and Kaileigh was an excellent server and looked after us really well.

Wonderful place to stay, proper pub! Excellent location, staff very welcoming and so efficient. The food was piping hot and very good, huge portions "we like to feed people" was the response!
The room was extremely comfortable and had a lovely view. Highly recommend.

Fantastic room, with a comfy bed and lots of personal touches. Lovely, homely and stylish furnishing. Being part of a pub I feared noisy but that wasn’t the case. After 23:00, it was super quiet and only the seagulls to wake up in the morning. Strong pleasurable shower, I couldn’t decide between shower and bath- they were both so inviting. Great breakfast, filled up for the day
