You enter the house through a wonderful wooden, covered entryway with stained glass on either side and realizes (after experiencing the living room view) that this main floor has a residential wing to one side (3 bedrooms and two full baths) and the large dining room and kitchen on the other. With a separate primary bedroom and loft upstairs (including a spa tub), and the full family room (with floor-to-ceiling windows)/exercise area/laundry facilities downstairs, there is ample room to be together as a family or group or find one's own niche.

Beyond the bucolic setting of the house (which now includes both new and mature apple, pear and cherry trees), a remarkable range of places and activities beckon for each and every season:

- For outdoor enthusiasts, Catamount ski area and Taconic State Park (including Bash-Bish Falls-- Massachusetts' largest) are within 5 min, and the Appalachian trail, Copake Lake, quality golf courses (such as Copake Country Club) and hiking trails of all kinds are within a half hour, including the gorgeous alpine Guilder Pond;
