Handy position to beach. Lovely warm pool and spa.

The apartment was spacious, a large open plan lounge/dining room, the view was okay. Heated pool and spa were great. Decor in apartment was nice. Miriam was lovely at reception, very helpful and informative.

There are several new buildings going up so there was a bit of noise and the view is disrupted. The gym was a little disappointing but used what was available.

Well located. Staff were very helpful.

At first TV didn’t work well as batteries were flat in the remotes, but on contacting staff they quickly resolved the issue in a very friendly manner.

Tennis and squash Indoor and outdoor pool

We liked the view of the beach from the high floor-very calming, relaxing, the location was handy, because it was very close to restaurants, the beach and more. Kids loved the indoor/outdoor swimming pools and spa, the full sized tennis court and the squash court. Apartment was very well stocked with appliances, cooking utensils, etc and full Foxtel access was great.

We liked that Sunbird was out of the rat race of Surfers yet still within walking distance or a tram ride away (3 stops to Cavill Avenue). We used the tram every day. It was a very efficient and reasonably priced service (trams every 7 minutes). We were on the 12th floor. The only noise we heard was an occasional loud car zooming down the beach road late at night or a resident closing his door on his way out to work. We had a beachside unit with great views of the beach. The 2 bedroom unit was spacious and comfortable. We had a nice long table in the dining area. The kitchen was spacious, plenty of bench space with a large fridge and an inverter cooktop. This was important as we did most of our own cooking. It was very handy to have a washing machine and dryer in the unit. There were 2 clothes drying racks also, an iron and an ironing board.

A couple of the globes were not working when we arrived at the property and the kitchen tap handle was loose. However, these maintenance items were attended to promptly when we raised them with the nice lady on Reception. There was only one dishwashing tablet and one small sachet of dishwashing liquid in the starter pack and 2 garbage bags provided in the kitchen. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided per bathroom. We stay at many self-contained units and they have all provided us with a sufficient supply of these necessary items to last the duration of the stay nor just enough for the first day. For the money you pay, you would expect to be supplied with a decent amount of these items. It was quite disappointing. It would have been nice to have some salt and pepper provided also. The beds were a bit on the hard side. It was a bit inconvenient having to go down to the basement to throw recyclable bottles and packaging into the big bin. A steamer would have been handy to have in the kitchen. There were only 3 drinking glasses in the kitchen. Usually there are at least 6.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The pools are great and our family enjoyed using the squash courts. The view from our balcony was amazing and we loved the location. We would definitely stay here again.
