Clean, good location, free valet parking

Very very noisy rooms. We specifically requested a room not on the ground floor and not adjacent to the restaurant which is exactly what they gave us despite agreeing in advance not to. Impossible to sleep in the room due to noise. No compensation/compromise provided. No air conditioning. Front desk staff generally rude and unwelcoming. Zero hotel facilities. Lost original restaurant reservation. Impossible to recommend anyone to stay here.

Excellent breakfast

Room service was too pushy, calling at inconvenient times. No on-site parking - inconvenient with valet parking, with valets messing around with car dashboard settings

The property is quaint—old world charm and beautiful furnishings. The location is fantastic, and we spent our days walking through Carmel and exploring the many shops and restaurants. Room service breakfast was a treat every morning.

We loved everything about our stay, although I might be concerned about staying in the summer because the hotel does not have air conditioning.

Breakfast suppose to be included. I turned in my breakfast request slip directly to the front desk attendant the day before. Requested prompt delivery at 7:30 am as I had to be somewhere. Breakfast never showed up. They told me they never received my order. No offer to make up for it. No apology.

The room furnishings are dated and cheap looking. It’s as if they furnished from Goodwill. At over $800 a night I expected better. Bed was comfy. Thats about it.
