Advertised as breakfast included. And it was, but in a basket at the front door in the morning. This is weak. Ingredients were "off the shelf." We are in Carmel, a place with great food nearby. No excuse a little, fresh, goodie can't be included. I know off-site locations are available, but for me as a traveler that enjoys a day or two relaxing and sleeping in, going out for breakfast is not so doable. The "breakfast included" a bit mis-leading. Also, perhaps you can change the breakfast item's packaging to something more recyclable and less styrofoam and plastic wraps.

Construction across the street, thin walls, had to listen to couple talking in next room until 1 a.m. Dirty windows with no screens. Stained carpets. "Breakfast" wasn't explained and was mostly dairy products.

The water pressure in the shower was too weak. It took us longer to shower and wash the soap. The balcony sliding door lock did not latch to lock. They had a long piece of wood standing at the end of the sliding door, maybe to brace the door as a lock. We saw a foot print in the balcony ledge that looked like somebody was trying to go across from the other room previously. The hotel receptionist did not even inform us that they were serving breakfast when we checked in which was included. I always bring disinfectant wipes when go to hotels. I wiped down the chairs, tables refrigerator and found it to be not so clean. When we were to check out at 8am and there was no one at the office. There was another guest waiting to check out, and she said we had been waiting for an hour. I had to call the office from my cellphone, and the hotel employee answered and said, "You can place the key in the room and lock the door" The other guest said so there is no breakfast if the office is close. It was not a pleasant experience.

The room was clean. At least the coffee was available at the office.

The bathroom was small. According to the desk staff, the hair dryer was not operational due to some electrical problem but it was not replaced until a day later and did not operate. No coffee brewer, as per staff, it was broken but not replaced. Someone smoked in the room and the smell was still evident. The breakfast basket was not delivered to the entry door and one must go to the office to retrieve it. Yet, for the 41 years we have been coming here, the price of the rooms was not as per Expedia and was not acceptable to be canceled as we found out later. I will not return to this location again. Sorry.
