Room was very tight. Reception employee wasn´t able to return the payment Carmel Fireplace Inn took unduly from my debit card. U$212,08 for a night stay, too expensive.

The hotel was really well positioned for exploring Carmel and having the car park and free nearby roadside parking was an added bonus. Across our 3 day stay we always got a space. The bedroom was really spacious.

The rooms were really dated and looked a little tired and the bathroom would benefit from some shelves for putting out your own toiletries and make up etc.

Room was a great size.Location to town was excellent. Good to have a car park, would advise getting there early to get a spot but also plenty of street parking.

this property had the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel room. the room was clean but not smelly with perfume. the staff was wonderful and inviting. Close to everything in Carmel. Only used our care once.

The room # 38 was lovely, clean, spacious, with a wonderful gas fireplace that added ambience.

Was there ever food provided? I noticed a microwave in the lobby. That would have been a nice addition. The first check in staff person was not very friendly, just perfunctory and not very welcoming. The second person was much friendlier in the evening and told us where to get ice cream. I know it is Carmel, but the price ($240 including tax) is steep for just a simple room, and this is your cheaper rate.

Very nice room, in good condition, very clean, good beds, everything in walking distance. Very nice property.

A little bit dark in the room, shower pressure a bit low and sometimes it took literally several minutes before we got hot water. No kettle in room. There is a microwave at the lobby, but there is nobody before 9 in the morning.

Our cottage was nice. It was a bit outdated. The amenities including the fridge, coffee maker, microwave, dish washer and clothes washer and dryer were old and run down. The clothes was didn’t clean clothes well. The tv in the bedroom was incredibly small. Neither TV allowed for streaming. The fireplace barely worked. The unit was very cold all of the time.The was one extra blanket given. No sheets and blankets for pull-our bed. The bathrooms except for the shower, weren’t very nice. We enjoyed the patio. The main bed was large. Closet space was minimal. Parking was difficult. Very narrow area.

Guests in other units weren’t considerate nor were they held accountable to property to rules and expectations.

Room was noisy due to passing guests. Room had windows at each end but the curtains did not block much light, got very bright, very early.

Quaint Old Style Carmel Hotel. Comfortable good size room and seating area. Wonderfully close to downtown. We parked and walked everywhere.

The parking lot is super small. The grounds are showing their age.

This hotel is in a great location. Right down town and walkable to everything. We have stayed in a few hotels in the area and they can be very expensive. The price was good for Carmel and the hotel room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The lady named Inge, at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a little rundown with older furnishings, if that matters to you. The bathroom is small and lacks good lighting for makeup. Only a street view from our room, but I could see others may have a peek at the ocean view.

We loved the location, and the check in process was quick and easy.

Cleaning crew starts early, and you can hear everything. It was 8am, and it sounded like there was a rodeo going on upstairs and around our room.
