Austere; terrible pillows on the bed; odoriferous room; filthy windows, very overpriced and underwhelming room, amenities

We booked a king for one night and upon arrival received, what appeared to be, the “leftovers“. When I opened the door to the room, I immediately smelled the stench of chlorine coming out of the bathroom. Opening the windows and airing it out didn’t help. The toilet was dirty and had visible urine scale in it. When requesting another room, the receptionist was friendly but was hesitant to switch the room at first because there were no other king bedrooms available. Ultimately, and after I told her that I don’t care about the bed size, she gave us a room with two queens. Side note: this room smelled too, but at least not as bad. I understand that it’s a low budget chain, but this hotel/motel is not good value for money at all. I would never choose Wyndham again and I don’t recommend it.

Really nice staff working at this hotel. The location is within walking distance to downtown. Facilities were good and modern. Room was extremely clean.

The pillows were very tough and lumpy. It was a little noisy due to the layout of the hotel - people passing window etc but this was to be expected and didn't affect the overall stay.

The location is convenient, easy walking downtown and to the wharf, and a nice walking trail up the hill to the big shopping mall. We stayed in the king suite, which is nicely roomy with a comfortable seating area. The mattress was also comfortable. Even though the rooms face Munras Avenue, it is quiet.

Sadly they removed the little breakfast room, but there is a little coffee maker in the room and coffee and juice available in the lobby

There was bugs in our bathroom and guests above us were loud after midnight and couldnt sleep

The bathroom stinks and the exhaust fan in the bathroom is too loud and coming off. Not enough pillow. Only 3 small pillows

They were fixing the hotel and waking up visitors early We couldn’t take a nap cause it was very noisy Employees were very rude when you ask questions!

If I would have stayed, the location would have been superb.

I stayed for about 15 minutes before demanding a refund. The bathroom and bed were covered in the prior occupant’s hair, and the floor had so much filth that it was clear the cleaners only sought to stage the room, not clean it. The manager met me at the room and said I could get a full refund since I had just checked in. Once we got to the office, he refused to give me a refund (after the charge processed) and then reported to booking.com that my credit card did not work. He also refused to give me a receipt for a refund. I had to contact Wyndham’s corporate offices to receive my refund.
