Planen Sie einen Aufenthalt in unserem kleinen Cowboy-Cottage, um die reiche Geschichte der Fort Worth Stockyards zu genießen! Unser Haus wurde 1907 im viktorianischen Landhausstil erbaut - im selben Jahr wurde das historische Cowtown Coliseum erbaut. Die Entwicklung dieses historischen Viertels begann 1902 mit der Einführung der Rüstungs- und Schnellfleischverpackungsanlagen. Das Reid House befindet sich 2,5 Blocks von der Haustür von Billys Bobs Texas entfernt. Alle Geschäfte, Restaurants, Viehveranstaltungen und das Nachtleben entlang der Exchange Avenue erreichen Sie bequem zu Fuß. Dieses Viertel liegt sehr günstig, nur 3,2 km von der Innenstadt von Fort Worth, dem Sundance Square und 5 km vom weltberühmten Museumsviertel, den botanischen Gärten von Fort Worth, dem Will Rogers Complex, der Dickies Arena und dem Campus der Texas Christian University entfernt. Unsere Familie hat eine besondere Vorliebe für die Fort Worth Stockyards. Die Familie Reid ist seit den 1930er Jahren das Rodeo-Viehunternehmen in Fort Worth. Roland Reid gründete die Double R Rodeo Company und übernahm 1938 einige Rodeos. Bis 1941 war er ein voll etablierter Rodeoproduzent und ein Grundnahrungsmittel in der Rodeoindustrie. Er produzierte Rodeos in ganz Nordtexas und versandte Waren an Rodeos im ganzen Land. Sie können immer noch Rodeocowboys in ganz Texas antreffen, die irgendwann im Laufe der Jahre auf einem Roland Reid-Bock oder -Pferd gestanden haben.
Heute ist die Double R Rodeo Company die älteste kontinuierlich operierende Rodeo-Firma im Bundesstaat Texas und im Südwesten. Seit 1993 produzieren wir das Rodeo hier im historischen Cowtown Coliseum. Diese wöchentlichen Rodeos finden jeden Freitag und Samstag um 20:00 Uhr statt. Double R veranstaltet außerdem jeden Freitag und Samstag die Texas Bull Riding Show von Billy Bob mit zwei Shows um 21:00 Uhr und 22:00 Uhr.

A short 4-day trip for the annual HV FW Stockyards Longhorn sale at River Ranch. This place was just a short walk to Billy Bobs and the Stockyards. Had a great time with our daughter and her boyfriend buying and selling Longhorns and taking in all the Stockyards has to offer.
The home is a simple turn of the century little farmhouse that had comfortable beds and a cool place to escape the 98 degree heat of the weekend!
Would stay here again.

We stayed for my daughter’s graduation. For us, the goal was to be close to the Stockyards for celebrating and dining. We were able to walk to and from the house without issue. Communication was easy and quick. Beds were comfortable. Would stay again!

This house was great for our family weekend. We could very easily walk to Billy Bobs and all the great shops in the Stockyards. When we had to reach out to the host about something that was not in the house, she answered immediately and fixed the problem.
The only thing about this house is the neighborhood. We did walk late at night home from the Stockyards but a section of the walk is not lit and a bit sketchy. There were four adults in our party, so all was fine, but I might not have been as comfortable doing that walk with a smaller group and/or with only women.

This little house is cozy, clean, and comfortable. Ashlee the host was on top of communication and was super helpful. Our flight came in early, and she let us check in early, which was amazing. Some of the reviews put the house in a little sketchy area and a far walk from the Stockyards. This was not true at all. The stockyards were only three blocks away and we walked to them in just under 10 minutes. We are a group of 50 -60 year old woman so we were not setting any speed records. lol I also felt completely safe walking home from the Stockyards around 10:30 p.m. I highly recommend a stay at this cute little house with rich Stockyard history.

We had a great stay. Beds were comfy, and air conditioning worked perfectly! We walked to the stockyards during the day ,about 1 mile, but drove to my parent's hotel for when we were out at night. All and all it was a great experience and our host was helpful!

Ashlee was such a great host-she quickly and clearly communicated with us and was super understanding letting us check out late after some travel plans changed. Her place is close walking distance to the stockyards and inside we enjoyed the warm and cozy Texas vibes. Definitely recommend!

Overall, we were pleased with the property. We were very close the Stockyards. We did drive there but we had small children with us and it was a bit far for them to walk and then walk around the stockyards all day. I would not have wanted to walk back in the dark in this area. The house was nice but it did need some minor tweaks. For instance, one of the bedroom doors had tacks sticking up (there was a rug covering it) and the door would not close. The shower curtains would fly up while showering (this is a personal pet peeve) and there was some trash in the yard. I think with minor attention to detail, the property would have been a 5. There is only parking on the street here.

Had a great stay unfortunately, we lost power for a day and it was in the 90's so it was a bit too hot for us to stay in the house for most of the day. We had to make other plans so we could get some AC relief. House had everything we needed. Overall it was very convenient and worked out great for what we needed.
