Good place to make base for exploring south lake downtown

Simple room, very close to village.

Location is great, room was relatively clean for winter.

No working tv, low efficiency toilet, no office staff present(you have to call or use RING service).

Pls read all reviews well before booking. Badly maintained property and they use older good property pictures that are not how the room’s actually are. We booked a mini suite with kitchen and nothing was working in there. Cleanliness was absent. Appliances did not work. Only good thing about this property is that it’s very near to heavenly ski lift area.

Our room heater didn't work, I went at the front desk and told the guy and he said he will bring the heater, to our room, after 30m I went back again to check at the front desk and the guy had left already, and he said he will bring the heater, but he just left and didn't care. Really REALLY A bad experience

Room was very dirty. This wasn’t even the cheapest hotel we could’ve stayed at so we chose it hoping it would be decent for a cheap motel but it was filthy. Hair in the bathroom, used soap in the shower. Overall the room needs a complete makeover. There was holes in the walls, patches on the ceiling in different paint color than the room. Outlets didn’t work, and paper on the window because the blinds wouldn’t go all the way down… we spent no time here except to sleep.

Terrible experience! We paid 2 nights for a room with 2 queen beds and 1 bunk bed. It offered Wi-Fi, cable TV, hairdryer and a clean environment. We received a room only with 2 Queen beds and none of everything offered. Piece of. Bath with fungi and toxic with the smell of a cigarette. I called 4 times, texted, 2 emails waiting for an explanation, improvement and/or refund but was never contacted. With my family we could not sleep here and we paid for another lodging.

it looks like it is closed first of all. there were only two cars in the parking lot. To check in I had go across the street and check in at a different hotel. Very strange. in the room the lights were flickering. The TV did not work and there were cables coming out the back. there were no towels. Not one. The room was dirty. There were some rags or clothes under the bathroom sink and dirty tips on the floor. There was toilet paper and some soap and the bed was comfortable and seamed clean. The carpet was filthy. We left early because we could not take showers and we could not stand it. The whole thing was very strange.

Parking is terrible. Room sheets, blanket and top sheet where filthy. bathroom sink clogged. every appliance from a/c fan to tv had grime or dust.

The closeness to the casinos and the lake.....thats about it

We had the room literally above the big garbage container that was overflowing onto the parking lot. The room walls were dirty. No nightstands, lamps, the door handle into the bathroom was falling off the door. The heater was broken and absolutely filthy. Im not super picky on hotels but i still want to feel like im sleeping in a clean bed and I did not feel that way at all. I've stayed in alot of different hotels and this was by far the worst room I've ever been in.

I liked leaving the property

I had to stay in the property for 2 nights. If I could have given this place a zero or lower, I would. I’ve been coming to South Lake Tahoe for years with my family and we usually have a good experience with where we stay at, but this year has been the most disappointing and frustrating experience.The first night there was a 45 minute delay to check into our room and by the time we got to our room, it was dark even with the light. The floor was stained, refrigerator didn’t work with a foggy yellowish liquid leaking out onto the floor. The bathroom was dirty and shower temperature changed drastically. Along with the other amenities that we were supposed to have, we had to ask for a microwave, but was missing the turntable, but the main one was the free beach passes which was the reason of choosing this place to book and didn’t get either. I spoke to the manager through a ring doorbell, and he said he was going to meet with us about the beach passes at our room but he never showed. I have never been this unsatisfied and frustrated with a place until I came here, will never book again.
