Na een hele dag op de baan te zijn geweest kwamen we om 15u15 aan in het Capital Reef Resort. Hier kregen we te horen dat ze pas om 16u00 inchecken (terwijl de kamers gewoon beschikbaar waren). We waren dus genoodzaakt om 45 minuten te wachten voordat we onze sleutel kregen. Bovendien was de man aan de receptie onvriendelijk en had hij geen begrip voor de situatie. Captital Reef Resort is eerder een motel dan een resort, vergis je hier niet in. Als je naar Capital Reef gaat sla je dit hotel beter over.

The view from the room was amazing to wake up to. The hotel was the closest one to the park and it was just minutes from other amenities.
The hot tub didn’t seem very clean, it was too cold to swim in the pool. I also wouldn’t recommend the restaurant, we barely touched our breakfast.

Easy to park. Nice views.
Hot tub was a bit dirty. Old rooms. View was nice but it was pretty cold. Fireplace was not hot enough. It was ok.

We particularly liked the view from our room. We were able to eat in our room close to the window and could enjoy the view. The location is close to the facilities of Torrey.
A dining table and two chairs were provided - but at the end of the room away from the window. The comfort of the room would have been much better if these had been located by the window.
An alternative would be to provide some chairs outside on the walkway.

location and view was great, we met some nice people and hung out around the campfire.
This stay was a lucky escape for us.
I was served raw chicken in the restaurant, they cooked the same chicken but returned it in the raw chicken blood.
If I wasn't stupid it could have made me very sick and ruined my holiday.
I paid for a more expensive room which was nothing like the photos which oversell what is essentially a motel.
We were really disappointed with our stay.

Location
It was dirty, the toilet had a loud screaming noise that would last about 45 seconds every time you flushed. The sink drained very slow and not worth the price. Not even close.

I enjoyed the view from my room and the staff was extremely kind and gave me the key info I needed for my stay.
The layout of the property is a maze of walkways and different facilities of a hotel, fitness center, excellent restaurant, parking lots, and gathering spaces for night time fire pits. At some points we walked off the path because we were walking directly into other families patios.

Room in the old hotel. Several things were broken and not fixed while we were there, causing us to leave a day early. Manager doesn’t seem to care that the rooms are outdated or follow up to see if repairs have been done.

Shut down dining room after booking without offering price reduction or cancellation. Unfriendly staff. Rooms not clean. Way overpriced during off season with mostly vacant property.

Location is fabulous- right next to the capitol reef national park. The rooms/beds are clean. Shower has nice water pressure.
The breakfast has good selections for a reasonable ( not free, not cheap) price.
Part of the reason I skipped other cheaper hotels and picked this one was the colorful tents they had in the pictures of the property. Even though I realized that the room I was booking was probably a regular room, I was looking forward to that good vibe of celebratory evening possibly upgrading to the tent. Upon arrival, noticed that the place was eerily quiet and the tents are really a spring to fall sensation. Had I known it probably would have booked something else. They should probably remove the pictures or put a disclaimer that those happen only during the warmer months.
Secondly, the mattresses felt too “springy” to be comfortable.

The property was well kept and clean. It had a very fun, family friendly vibe. The teepees were down for the season, but the wagons would be so much fun for a group.
