Location was super as we were attending WVU's graduation, which was held at the Coliseum. The new shower head was also a plus. Hot water even on 3rd floor. Beds were comfy enough.View of the mountains was really nice. For bonus question regarding lighting, there were enough lights, but the overall decor was not bright. With the high cost per night at other establishments on this particular weekend, this was a good choice. It served its purpose.

Unfortunately, the new owners did not do much to upgrade the building and rooms. The overall building is very old and in dire need of reconstruction upgrading in many ways: Side entrance, hallway carpeting, bathroom fixtures and shelves rusty, air circulation in bathroom did not work, shower knobs hard to work. Room carpeting, dark decor not inviting. Other problems: soda vending machine empty, of the 2 ice machines, one not working, one empty. Free breakfast is not that appealing. Waffles the best choice. With some attention, this could be a gem.

The toilet you had to hold the handle down for it to flush, the beds were hard and moved way to much, the pillows sucked they looked fluffy but as soon as you touched them they were flat I had to use 3 pillows to make 1 pillow

The breakfast was very good, nice selection of foods and juices, coffee, etc.

I did not care for the small square pillows on the king size bed. I prefer standard pillows. Also, the bed wasn't as comfortable as beds at other properties I've stayed.

View from our window - we stayed in a room facing the back of the hotel. Back parking lot could use a lot of work done!
