Great location, beach and fine restaurants just minutes away by walking. Spacious room, very clean with comfy bed. Overall , we are very satisfy for our stay at Moonstone Landing.

While having breakfast, I was told by the receptionist to turn off the volume of my cellphone, is not allowed, I didn't see a sign. That office should be separated from the lounge.

Receptionist kindly upgraded me to a 2nd floor room with a better ocean view when I explained that this was my third visit. Moonstone beach is just across the road, and is a lovely location. The combination of the sound of the ocean and the crackling of the fire in my room was very soothing.

The 1st floor floor rooms are advertised as having "partial ocean views" but in reality you have to stand on one leg and lean out of the window to see the view; these rooms are also quite dark.

The breakfast is too bad.

Location, room views

Floor hadn't been cleaned properly - had food crumbs and hair under and around table area. Room entry was compromised with puddled water that you then brought into the room and thus the entry was VERY slippery. However, Housekeeping came right away and properly cleaned the floors, dried the entry floor and put down a door mat outside the entry door that rested on top of the existing mat that was soaking wet from rain. No more water was tracked into the room. Housekeeping ladies were VERY GOOD. However, the woman who checked us in was NOT VERY GOOD at all! She should NOT be the first person who greets you at check in. She was non smiling, non friendly, non everything. And, when we went back to the office to advise the room wasn't cleaned properly etc she did NOT apologize for the situation or for the delay in our room being ready after your stated check in time frame. She acted like it was an imposition. We liked the room with its view and your location but unsure if we would return there again considering being unwelcomed and for your price point.

Expected breakfast and found being honest a lame continental breakfast. plastic packaged items. picked spot for breakfast included, the listing didn't say continental. claiming a covid friendly breakfast is no longer wanted or required.

I loved the location! We were in an ocean front room and the view from the balcony was stunning. The bed and bedding were high quality, as were the bathroom amenities. We were there for 3 nights. One of the staff, Mary, was so friendly but the other two nights was a lady who didn't look up nor greet as we came into the very small space. Made us feel a little unwelcome. This is a small hotel, more of an inn. The little spa was nice for warming up since it was fairly cool most days/nights.

The breakfast was disappointing. I knew it would be a continental, but it had very little to offer. For such a pricey room, it was not tasty with instant (sugary) oatmeal, Frosted Flakes, one type of not-so-great muffins, bananas, oranges, juice and coffee. The breakfast room didn't open until 8am, so many of us who rise earlier had to sit out on the cold patio waiting to Also, we could hear every step of the people above us who seemed quite active in the middle of the night. It woke my grandkids one of the nights it was so loud, and they're heavy sleepers.

Beautiful ocean views from room and patio; location; comfortable room and beds; wood floors; recommend and would definitely stay here again.

check-in staff member was friendly but evening and morning staff were curt and impatient; hot tub was small and we were not able to use it as another group occupied it for a long time; we heard the occupants of room above us walking/running around late into the evening and early in the morning. Would definitely ask for an upstairs room next time.

The hotel is located right across the street from the moonstone beach boardwalk. Great location for walking to local restaurants. Close bike ride to Cambria. Amazing Paso Robles wine country tours and tastings!
