Nothing.

The location was far removed from anything. There were teens and some guy smoking pot in the parking lot adjacent to the property going toward the beach, playing music and the gentleman offering to sell us some pot. The black sand beach can not be seen from the property, it is a steep climb almost straight down to even get to the beach. With another gentleman there trying to peddle fruit. DID NOT feel safe in the area. Nothing was as we thought. Would NOT recommend.

The hosts (Susan and Andre) were very helpful. They sent not only detailed driving directions and instructions regarding the property but also information about nearby beaches, stores, restaurants etc. Moreover, they refunded the deposit for the non-refundable booking that we had to cancel in 2020 because of Covid 19.

The light bulb in the ceiling fan of the living room needs to be changed (which is apparently not easy because the ceiling is high). No beach towels were provided. In the kitchen, we found one glass for water, one glass for sparkling wine, and many different-looking cups. The level of comfort could be easily improved by providing beach towels and 3-4 identical glasses of each kind (e.g., for water and wine).

We loved the location of this remote and cozy property. The hosts were very thoughtful in the furnishings of the cottage. There were even fresh flowers to welcome us on the coffee table when we arrived. After the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, this cottage was a breath of fresh air that provided a relaxing experience. The rugged coastline and the roar of the ocean waves were amazing. We were even treated to dolphins playing in the surf!

Very clean, nice amount of space, great view, felt private. Beautiful location.We loved our stay. Comfortable bed!!

Noisy as it is close to two other cottages on the property, and in a very damp area (rainforest) where everything stays wet. Shared washer/dryer. Could use a new bed and pillows. Google coqui frogs. There are many of them there and they “chirp” all night. Some people love it...
