I like the fact that this hotel was about 40 steps away from the beach. Also, the view from the balcony was great.

I didn't like the fact that they did not have any washcloths, the room smelled like a dog was in there the day before. I keep getting bit by something in the room. The tub had hair in it, the towels were dirty. The balcony door looks like someone tried kicking it in from the outside. The walls were dirty with drawing and the air conditioner worked off and on. The front door lock did not work when I tried to lock it for extra security. I had to put a chair up to the door so no one would kick it in. Finally, the beds only came with 2 flat sheets on top as the cover. Underneath the fitted sheets the mattress was horrible. Bar Harbor Hotel was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my entire life. Please if you're looking for a hotel to crash at with a group of friends to party then this is the hotel. This is not a family hotel at all.

Front desk staff was not friendly and not helpful. We even had to ask for them to give us plastic cups, as none were stocked in the room. Facilities were very run down, and our TV was broken when we arrived. Parking was very inconvenient, as we had to park in an adjacent lot across the street because the lot on site was full. We paid a lot of money to stay here, and this hotel did not measure up to the cost.

floor in bathroom was rotten, a/c plug was just lying on the floor with wires exposed, mold on the curtains, lumpy bed, almost no parking had to park across street , took an hour to check in , huge gaps around the door .

The property wasn’t kept up. Looked nothing like the pictures. Nightstand draw was missing the bottom. No blankets on the bed, towels ,tissues etc. The common areas were dirty. So sad

The infestation of spiders in the hallways, the cleanliness of the rooms and parking lot, the smell, the towel situation, no housecleaning, the elevator was super sketchy, the air conditioner looked and sounded like it was about to fall out of the wall, no ice machine, the obvious drug deals and gangs that hung around the parking lot, drunk strangers driving really close to my car.

My trip was a disaster!!! I paid the full amount due with my grandmother’s credit card on 5-24-24. On 5-27-24 someone from your facility charged her credit card another $94.07 more on 5-27-24 (we do not understand why they took more money AND we did NOT give them permission to do so). Our reservation was for 5-30-24 through 6-2-24. When we arrived at your facility the staff was VERY RUDE to us. I had a copy of my license on my phone (front & back). They told me they couldn’t accept that but they could tell it was my name was the same name that reserved the room, etc. I asked them if I could go to the car and get one of my family members to come in and add their name to mine since they had a hard copy of their license. They told us to just leave that our money would be refunded. Then we had to leave the property and try to find another motel to stay at and use money that we had planned on using for entertainment, shopping, eating, etc. The ONLY money that they did refund was the $94.07 on 5-31-24 that they took from my grandmother’s card illegally. IF you can help me get the $547 back it would be greatly appreciated because I am a single parent with very little income.
