The location was great! The view was amazing!

It was in such disrepair that it felt unsafe. The railing on the balcony is broken off in places, there are holes in the floor boards which are unfinished and cause splinters, and there are unsafe rotten soft spots. The floors inside are slanted at an alarming rate and have soft spots. It feels like the house is going to slide off the hill. The bathroom upstairs was filthy. The beds are old and so uncomfortable. One bunk bed had no mattress at all. Some of the outlets are covered in duct tape and one shocked my son, there were two broken lamps with duct tape holding them together, there was garbage left inside and out from previous renters (several bags) and there were no replacement sacks or toilet paper. We were without water for an entire day. There was no propane tank for BBQ and dishes had food stuck to them. There was an empty container for laundry soap and the dining chairs are broken and unusable.

This property seems to get a bad rap but it’s really just a simple beach house. Nothing fancy but suited our needs just fine. The house sits on a hill and has a beautiful view. The kitchen is very well equipped, the furniture is comfortable and the beds were comfy. Having two separate living spaces was great for us as my daughters family was downstairs and we were up above. The house was cleaned well and pet friendly. Plus deer roam the area and you can see the feeding in the open lots or in neighbors back yards. The kids liked that. If your looking for a simple dog friendly stay that’s just a couple minutes drive from downtown you’ll enjoy this house.

I’ve heard about the uneven floors etc but really……… You’ll not find a fancy place that’s for sure but it was a nice stay. True. The back yard is one big black berry bush, (the lower patio is kinda unusable because of the berries) the deck is worn, the property isn’t the nicest on the block and the drive way is a monster. (We parked two cars in front)

Beautiful views of the town and ocean. Loved the sunsets. Great location and Pacific City is an awesome place to vacation.

all the beds from the bunk beds to the queen and king beds were very uncomfortable, they all need nicer mattresses. The BBQ needs to be replaced immediately The deck rail is not safe and we kept the kids away from the railing.. the deck screen door should replaced along with the sliding glass door rollers.
